I don't understand why people say that Arizona has more delegates at stake than Utah and and Idaho combined. Arizona total delegates: 98, Idaho total delegates: 99, Utah total delegates: 100. Bernie sanders also won by a larger margin in Idaho and Utah than Clinton did in Arizona. Bernie left the March 22nd primaries with about 198 delegates and Clinton left with about 99 delegates, ergo Bernie Sanders catches up from the March 22nd primary.

+Aundrea Cardozo No it isn't, the dems technically have no winner take all states. Only republicans do. Clinton got 44 delegates, and Sanders has 30, thus far. (In Arizona)

AZ is a Winner-Take-All state whoever wins by a 3% margin or landslide victory will receive all delegates. AZ chose Hillary. This sets Hillary officially ahead. Bernie has to close some huge gaps.

He only needed to sweep, if the races were close. Since he won by landslides in Utah and Idaho, he more than made up for the minor loss in Arizona. +18 delegates overall was a pretty big win.
