Apple and Google accused of ripping off customers with tablet storage
Gadget makers including Apple and Google are being accused of ripping off customers with overpriced tablet storage upgrades. Apple has been criticized by ...
Google Drive vs Dropbox!

+TechnoEvans Stay away from Mega. Their CEO (Kim) just got forced out of the company by a hostile take over (check his twitter for details). Mega will not be around for long.
+TechnoEvans Not sure what you mean by 'how', but if you want to see Googles fees for Gdrive just query 'prices on Google drive', now you knew that, didn't you?
+TechnoEvans I'm using 125 Gigs for free (have been for a decade) for 1 more year and even when that runs out it's only something like $5 a month 100 Gigs and for a full Terabyte it's something like $20.
+aidid rashed No, but during the free period it limits image resolution to some moderate but acceptable level. See them for details. If you have RAW images, I believe they won't be saved, though they may reduce their resolution without affecting the original.
+Emmet Sheridan, Google Drive without ANY doubt, especially if you're on a Chromebook running Chrome OS! Although I run 2 other platforms, Windows Phone on my Nokia cell phone, and Windows on my VAIO 15" Laptop and an Android Netbook. They all access my Google Drive both directly and by synching. None of the others come remotely close without a Chromebook, but even without, all other systems get more from Google 'Drive' and I do also use One Drive from MS and Drop Box occasionally, as well as 2 others. Redundancy is critical, logically! Some of my earlier Android tablets now are piled up in a graveyard because they refuse to upgrade beyond 2.3 (was it?) and Android being clumsier more buggy, and far more vulnerable to viri and malware I've fallen in love with my 3 Chromebooks! Chromebooks have numerous advantages over all others though one shortcoming is the inability to install large external software like Adobe PhotoShop, and large very sophisticated software. But there are Chrome compatible alternatives like "Gimp" for a pretty close 'Photoshop' app, and MS Office is readily converted to the Google equivalents AND Office Online and one other allows you to work directly with the MS native files. I can't wait for a Chrome OS-based phone and hopefully in future iterations, Google may incorporate external native major software. And lastly, Google Store has many thousands of apps that cover more than 75% of your dreams and some you never thought of! Google has been and still is, working on integrating Android with Chrome OS! GO Google and fuck Apple iShit... $$$ for nothing! People with quite high I.Q.s actually buy that crap... but then some people pay for sex, go figure!???
+Ally Omar, Jr, I hate to burst your bubble of a false sense of security, but you're being recorded by numerous sources even beyond the NSA, CIA, FBI, and secret 'special teams in the intelligence community, but they are nothing compared to the collection done by Corporate interests, foreign and domestic! You can dramatically reduce these 'trackers' by using an app like "Ghostery" which displays all the trackers being used by any site you visit and allowing you to selectively turn them on or off individually! It's my FAVORITE, but there are others for different platforms. Adblock is another GREAT utility, but don't be fooled by the copycats like Adblock Pro or Adblocker or others. Adblock is the best along with Adblock for Youtube. The Adblock apps DO NOT do anything with the 'trackers', so you want to run BOTH!!! They've made my life much simpler!
+Ally Omar, Jr unless your backing anything illegal you should be alright. I mean cmon the only reason why you shouldn't get a those drives is if you are running a multi million dollar company. I also hope that you realize that as a person you are not that important so why would they even bother snooping a nobody
+Ally Omar, Jr I understand, but what you're naively overlooking is that 'they' already know all your files and everything about your life, everything! The only thing you have left is your thoughts and inroads are being made on them daily, actually hourly. This video is ancient and much of what he says isn't true, well, maybe it was back in 2012, but hell, can't someone update this? I would, but I'm doing tons of research and activism, as well as staying current on all things 'tech'! Google Drive is not comparable to Dropbox at all! I use several Cloud sites and Dropbox and I'm networked to my phone and 3 other devices (2 Chromebooks), 1 Android, 1 Windows and 1 Ubuntu, though I rarely use that one on my VAIO.I run 3 of them to my 40" flat screen via HDMI. I've been in computers since 1981, before the net and web and before modems would run more than 110 baud You literally watched your screen load up like a fast printer scrolling while on a dial-up BBS. A10 MEGA Byte hard drive was $1200, that's like $5000 today! So much more to tell you, but on with it... Clouds are inevitable and I use several, one stays synched while the others are specialized. I am amazed that once synched I'm not only backed up down to my last keystroke on Gdrive, One Drive, and 2 others as well as my large local hard drive, all transparently. There are only 2 things I'd improve on the Chromebooks, the internal ram is not enough to handle my 10 to 15 tabs I jump around on and as fast as it is, just a little faster please, always faster, right? Chromebooks are great! I can do more with far less, and without spending a dime! As far as running Photoshop in its full glory, no, but close, they're porting it to an online service to use in real time without software! The problem is, Adobe will ask more to use it than I'm willing to pay. No problem, 'Gimp' a fee app does a very good job of emulating much of it in a relatively small app, also free! This guy didn't mention that you can run most any peripherals off your several USB 3.1 or USB c and HDMI takes you out to your 60" AMOLED or better, no problem. You can call all around the country with no phone plan, on Google voice and around the world with Google's 'Hangouts' or Skype. It's incredible and I'm waiting for their 15" version to incorporate the Pixel's screen res and more ram and I'll buy yet another if the price is under $500. Don't listen to these naysayers, they're too busy spending all their money on systems that do little more and for tons more money! It's just a big pissing contest like it's always been!
