Who is this guy, you schmuck...I seen Lesie when he was in the Vagrants in
67 at Murray the K in the 5th dimention in NYC with Cream, Who on there
first Amercian tour, plus others.... seen Mountain with Lesie, Felix and
Corky in abt 70 Lesie was a big man then. last time I saw him was a free
concert in Liberty Park, Jersey City NJ in abt 1995, lost weight. looked
great, sound great....not saying he was the best but Mountain was classic
60s/70s loud rock music band... music still plays today
i saw mountain at the ritz feb.13 1970 also, unbelievable show. the tickets
cost $4.50 and we move down to the better seats after the opening band
finished.Cant remember their name but half the crowd left after they
finished.the smell of incense i can still smell in the air(to cover the
pot)we didnt get out until 2 or 3 am.waited for the bus that never came. my
brother in law came to pick up 7 of us in his 1968 cougar,we all fit laying
on top of each other.what a great memory.
@LucasMarquesGHC Not so fast Lucas. If it werent for Felix Pappalardi,
there was a much lesser Cream. Clapton and other Cream team just recently
admitted it was Felix Pappalardi who introduced Clapton to the now famous
Cream wah wah sound. The interview resides on youtube somewhere. Mountain,
and all of their parts were pioneers, just like Cream was. Black Sabbath
OPENED for Mountain. Mountain deserves to be recognized as pioneers in the
rock n roll music industry.
I saw Leslie onstage with Michael Schenker last summer at the Fillmore
Theatre in N.Y.C. and the two of them were f***in' unbelievable - talking
to each other on guitar and then jammin' some blues. I've seen Leslie at a
couple of clubs in Long Island and N.Y.C. about 5 other times in the last
10 or 15 years. He's better than ever.People need to make some noise for all
the great musicians of the past before they are dead. Then,it's too late.
Saw Leslie at the old Ritz in Staten Island on the 13th of Feb. 1970. Great
show, they did Mississippi Queen 2x that nite, and we walked out of there
at daybreak. I was not yet a deadhead, and for those who are, they know
where the GD were that night and what a night it was, just across the Bay.
And, we all did LSD that nite. All 17 of us who went to the show.
Funny, I took some acid and went to see CREAM and I could never play very
well as much as I practiced. I sure love that Leslie liked CREAM, though.
THE greatest band of all time. Blues, jazz, rock fusion like no other. The
hair still stands up on my arm 1:20 into Toad on Wheels of Fire. I turn the
volume up to just south of distort.
Sounds like the story I heard about Frank Marino of Mahogany Rush. When I
saw him playing in the mid 1970's there was a story circulating around that
he had taken LSD and though he WAS Jimi Hendrix. I clearly remember seeing
him play at the Michigan Palace. He played "Red House" sounded just like
Hendrix.
Leslie is a mystical figure in Rock. An ultra HUGE talent. Yet he shows
such an appreciation to other rock talents. Leslie the Godfather of Heavy
Metal and the Blues/Rock fusion, yet has a huge heart for the industry.
There are few rockers left like this, very, very few.
"I didnt have roots in the Delta Blues, I had roots in Forest Hills Queens.
" EVERY time I hear that line I lose it. If Leslie wasnt one of the
greatest guitarists of the past 50 years, he would be one of the funniest
comedians of the past 50 years. Natural Born Talent.
One thing I always thought was cool about Leslie is he would through an
acoustic solo instrumental in on some of his albums. He is quite
accomplished a a finger style player. That kind of variation in his
approach to writing and playing made am impression on me.
WE DID SOUND LIKE CREAM WE HAD THE BEST OF THE BEST FOR STUFF, AND A GUY
WHO COULD DO ANY VOICE ANYTHING HE USED TO DO SWEET CHILD IN TIME AND
STRANGE KIND OF WOMAN TO A TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
don't forget to practice with scoobie-doobie too! just keep playing.you
will get better and better.you all gotta have the love for geetar to get
really good.go for it!
wow look what cream did in history of music, if wasn't eric ,jack bruce and
ginger there was no mississipi queen, or never in my life, or blood of the
sun
maybe i should try listening to Leslie West while takin LSD and practice. :D

+BNROEC yeah. I think for now on the Women's teams will have US players that have 3 or less years exp. of international play. Pretty sure that is what I read after the 2014/2015 season.
+BNROEC She is from the US. I don't think she is better than most. She does have power and a nice swing but watched a few of her matches and can say she needs a little more experience but has the potential!! (All the players in the Women's Korean League are from the USA)
