Learn to Paint Trees - Fall Colors and Leaves by Bill Inman
I just finished an in-depth painting course - go to //www.masteroilpainting.com/master to learn more. Learn how to paint trees with fall colors in a quick and ...
Like this but wondered, what kind of paints are you using and can you say
which colors you used? I'm guessing oils since you used that with other
videos?
I wish I had that magic paintbrush everytime you make a brushstroke,
the right value and colour of paint come out the end of it.
like the demo. thanks.
+Ukuloonie What a great compliment Ukuloonie, I sure appreciate that! The nice thing about art is that anyone can acquire their own magic paintbrush - if they log enough hours in front of the easel.
+Shedz Channel Thank you Shedz! I'm glad I saw early on how uninteresting that trunk would have been had I left it straight up and down. That's one of the huge benefits to landscape painting - I can shift and twist things around and it still looks believable.
How To Fall Trees With An Excavator
When making a road on our property, I sometimes come in a situation where I have to fall one or more trees. In this video I am falling several dead Aspen trees.
Vallistrickland, if you cannot locate a teardrop in your area, you can get
a similar look by using a garland. Simply double the garland over for the
top 1/3 of the length teardrop you desire. This will give the tapered feel
you need. Hope that helps! Good luck and have a great day!
Vallistrickland, I'm sorry, but we do not sell these online. However, we do
have them available in our stores. You can visit our website and click on
"locations" to find our nearest store. Thanks!
I love this. It is so simple and colorful. Would you please explain about
your "glue pot", how it's used, what glue, is the glue able to be reheated,
etc?
Can you tell me where I can purchase the hot glue pan you're using? Also
how much glue do you put in it and where do you buy the glue? Thanks so
much.
Great news - my in-depth video painting course is now available at //www.masteroilpainting.com/master. Art Class Oil Painting Demonstration of fall trees.
OMG!!..Bill!! i watched this video last evening and took a walk today and
saw this tree on my thomas creek walk, Mt. Rose, reno, NV.....it was there
and I said it's a Bill Inman painting.!!!!...you made my day!!..thank you
for all you do!!...wish I could post a pic of it for you!!!
+plein aire You just made my day! Thank you. Mt Rose sounds like a beautiful place, I will have to visit there some time. If you have a photo I would love to see it - just email me at [email protected]
thank you so much, Bill, for this video!!!!...you are so adept at making
those fine lines.....I've tried to do the same in my aspen trees but do not
have a very steady hand I guess..think it's also the brush I use....and
maybe the medium..I use just mineral spirits and a bit of drying
gel....what do you think???!!!
+plein aire Sometimes I don't feel like my hand is as steady as I would like - fortunately oil paint is very forgiving. I use walnut oil as a medium primarily in the beginning stages of the painting like the initial wash in of color and then mostly straight pigment after that. It does help to have good brushes with sharp edges on them.
It appears some students in your class are there for social engaging, and
step by step instruction. I enjoy watching an artist paint with no
talking, and paying attention to what you are applying onto the canvas or
board. You have extreme patience with some of the airheads in your
courses. I am a pet groomer and enjoy talking to the pet owners while I
work, so...that works for me, but I don't know if I could field all the
questions if I was painting. Your work is beautiful and inspirational to
me...and I'm sure that is your aim. Maybe in the future videos, you could
instruct students to turn off their cell phones and come to learn and work
on improving their skills. All the distractions are very annoying.
+Tcherina Combe I do agree about the cell phones Tcherina - I may have to create a phone locker to place them into at the beginning of class. Questions definitely make getting into the flow state challenging, but that's why the demos are generally not as strong as the gallery paintings. Hopefully there is still some useful teaching that occurs. It certainly keeps me on my toes. I am planning a new type of live weekly painting demo soon - without the distractions - I will keep you updated when I am ready to do that.
How to Fertilize Trees and Shrubs - Spring & Fall (Enjoy!)
+crissy72685 Aww!! Thanks! I just made a video of John playing guitar (he's good but rusty, hadn't played in six months) and I singing Glory Glory. He has a beautiful voice. I'd like to get someone to write our show's INTRO song so he can play and we can sing it for all our upcoming vids. I'm just not good at writing songs. UGH! BTW the natural fence is so shady and makes a great back drop to our other plants (NO STAINING!) LOL. It takes work, especially in droughts to keep watered but it was so worth it. I got them on sale at end of year sale at walmart for $3.00 each! So that fence was cheap compared to a nice plastic or wood fence and compared to high priced larger arborvitae! :P
