I've had the motor since January 2015 and I run the car regularly. I have not had a single issue and it is performing just as good as it was when it was new. I would absolutely recommend SMC for their motors and batteries!

You installed the battery incorrectly - the tape should be UNDER the battery. Then, whenever the battery needs changing, it can be easily removed by simply pulling the tape.
