@ericasthename Right now, the "FaceTime" video call is used when you're
calling another iPhone user. The front cam may be opened up for developers
to take advantage of in other apps, but as it was demoed, it was used in
iPhone-to-iPhone calls. iPhone-to-Mac calls were not mentioned as being
supported at this stage though that may change in the future. Also, calls
do require both a regular carrier signal to handle the voice portion as
well as WiFi to carry the video data.
@Ubold not in america, face to face alling is an idea that has been out for
years but has not come to a reality in the U.S.A. till now. The one of the
only people with face to face was japan because of there small network.
Also its a cellphone no cellphone companys here have video calling. AT&T
are fixing their network to suport video.
@Ubold yah you guys where lucky your network was small enough to do that
lol america is a pretty big place and facetime is a lot sprint has that
with there evo they can do it on 4g/3g but the quality is bad and the
cameria kind of lags. Thanx for the knowledge lol.
@Ubold i said small cause look at the size of their country. Japan is
roughly the size of montana look it up. Yah all the companies are trying to
better themselves. Like spirnt has wimax now. Also At&t had video calling
before but it didnt go so well.
