FBI unlocks San Bernardino iPhone without Apple’s help
Former D.C. Homicide Detective Rod Wheeler, Independent Women's Forum Senior Fellow Jillian Melchior, former FBI Military Intel Officer Steve Rogers and ...
The Chinese and everybody can already crack the "hard drives" on phones.
All encryption can be cracked. It just takes time to do it. I'm a software
engineer but I swear to god I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Is
everybody stupid besides me?
I agree, I'm a software engineer as well and the way I see it there is always a small loophole on any encryption method, some take longer than others to exploit. You gotta wonder what kind of people the FBI hires if all this time they couldn't break the iPhone then a security company comes in and breaks it in a matter of hours.
+Oswald browne jr I don't think fbi unlock the iphone , possible apple unlock the iphone for the FBI and apple don't want to tell to the public , why because apple unlock 70 iphone in the pass for the FBI , another thing if the FBI knew how to unlock the iphone , why the FBI was asking apples to unlock the san berdandino iphone? if the FBI knew how to unlock the iphone they will not end on court with apple , in my opinion apple unlock the iphone fot the FBI that's why the FBI is dropping the san bernandino IPHONE court case i'm not saying this true thats my opinion
+Oswald browne jr 'Apple's Encryption' Holy Wow, how is it that people don't not know this already. "Digital Encryption" is a lie and has been for years now! GET OVER IT, GOVERNMENT HAS EVERYONE LOCKED DOWN
mcafee the inventor of mcafee anti virus said
"it would take me 15 minutes to unlock any apple iphone and if the fbi cant
do that we have serious problems"
also mcafee is running for president as a libertarian
+Noe Camarena When did he say 15 minutes? Last video I saw him in mentioned it would take 3 weeks and that he recommended they decap the chip. Which basically means using acid, lasers, or drills to file away at the plastic on the chip to access the main die at the core of the chip. He may have said 15 minutes I just didn't see that video yet and kinda would like to :)

Corporations have no legal rights once they put the lives of Americans in harms way and if you feel sympathy for Apple then you are a traitor to the American people you scumbag.
+King Life yes they do they are on U.S soil which means they have no rights if we want something from them also stop aiding these evil corporations who use child labor can't you tell that these fat cats are killing our country the more you give them power the more we lose our freedoms or do you actually care for the American people.
So, I'm curious. I'm asking this question in all (100%) seriousness. I'm a
Christian and many people obviously approach this discussion from different
perspectives and that is ok because we have different values. As a
Christian for me it is not necessarily about my best interest, or APPLE's
best interest, but the WILL of God.
So for other Christians posting, please help me discern the Will of God as
it pertains to this topic. Namely put, What would Jesus do? Or what would
Jesus want us to do?
I know that Jesus is about loving others and denying ourselves. In Matthew
16:24 Jesus said, "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come
after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."
I also know that Jesus values freedom, He says in 2nd Corinthains 3:17, "17
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is
freedom." and in John 8:36 , "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free
indeed." Now this freedom in Christ is not like the world's freedom as in
let me do what I want, but free to do the right thing.
The Bible says in 1Peter 2:16, "Live as free people, but do not use your
freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God's slaves."
So ultimately the choice that Jesus would pick would be the choice that
would glorify GOD.
Now which of these choices would be most likely to glorify God?
You tell me.
+Wala-Neh Labala , Also I was thinking that Jesus was very much focused on Mercy and Love. Which party (APPLE or the FBI) is acting with good and loving motives? Is APPLE acting in the best interest of the people's privacy or are they being motivated by money? Is the FBI acting with love because they want to protect the people or are they acting in a dominating heavy headed fashion being driven by power?God also gets glorified when we humble ourselves and give up our right to be right to show others mercy.Who needs to humble themselves?Does APPLE need to humble itself of it's perceived right to privacy and show mercy to the government? Or does the government need to humble itself of it's perceived right to information and show mercy to APPLE?You tell me.
+Khaled Zeidiyeh Legal Precedent will be set means they can ask them to do again and again and again....so everytime FBI comes knocking they make software and then they have to destroy the software they make?.....that would be a waste of time why not keep the software so everytime the FBI comes knocking they you let them use it oooor why not just give FBI the master key, lets give government bodies such power yeah nothing can go wrong lol, government are a 100% moral lol
I'm sure I'm wrong here but it's just a thought I had. Can't Apple release
this exploit for that one phone and just update their software to render it
useless in the future? I'm sure it's not this simple so I would appreciate
corrections.
+ChargePositive that just the small part of it...it creates precedent and other tech companies will have to follow not only Apple and this is basically asking you to whole heartedly trust the government. I am not anti-government but I am going to put that kind of trust into the government....This is one of the first things I though about when I first heard this story is that Bankers will pay for the exploit because hackers are going to steal it from the FBI even if they thing its under lock and key and basically make it a 10000000X easier to insider trade just by looking at companies exec emails, phone convo etc. Lol I am willing to bet half the people on the FBI side hates Wall Street. Im not even that smart and I can already see how certain groups of people can exploit this...There is many more implication but people can't look pass the argument that the media is pushing about this only being used for national security
+ChargePositive if they build the exploit they are essentially rewriting the entire core code and you can just make small adjustment to unlock any other phone....and even if they update the code after it still give hacker and idea of how to break into the phone from see and analyzing how Apple did it, hackers will study how Apple created there back door and build better one off of that and updates will be useless because they have a proven framework to work with
I think it is so interesting that people get angry and get involved when
privacy rights regarding their phones are at stake. Where was the outrage
in response to the Patriot Act? The infringements on our constitutional
rights have gone so far and gone on for so long, it bothers me that it
takes something like a cell phone to get people's attention. We have the
current situation because we have been willing to sit by quietly and not
hold our government accountable for past transgressions.
This was completely pointless, now the FBI can hack any Iphone. It was a
matter of time, it might not have been legal but who is going to stop the
government anyway. Apple should have just cooperated behind closed doors,
now all their phones are vulnerable if the hack was truly made by another
group/company. The irony.
+DavyD they r WAY better then Apple. im glad I never got into them, way to expensive and they make it so u can only use their products with whatever it is that u get, phn, tablet whatever. that's gay.
according to your videos, it appears tht you love apple computers because
you put more love into those mobo's than iv'e seen anyone put into any
device period ! EVERY PC MOBO "Repair" VIDEO I'VE SEEN EVER, THE SOLUTION
IN THE PC MARKET THE PROTOCAL IS TO REPLACE THE BOARD !! I personally am
happy that apple has created a market for these circuitry logic board
repairs. And even more soo going through the experience with you. i love pc
repair. and your channel is awesome. thank you for focusing on this market
and showing these types of deep repairs.
Louis , I don't know where you came from but I like you bro! You represent
that New Yorker that is rapidly disappearing. Honesty, integrity, brains
and very, very , logical. I started with the Yelp videos and have enjoyed
several others. Great job!
Louis, these rants is why i don't subscribe. You make your point, then you
trail off, then reaffirm your point and trail off. you made your point at 3
minutes. If you wanna go on a rant like this, sure ill come along for the
ride but you need to write yourself a script, or at least some talking
points. It feels like you just did this at 4 in the afternoon after work.
Sorry bro...
+Magne Bugten Same. I've slowly been finding it more difficult to find TV to watch and have been looking at more suggested YT videos. Now when I go back to regular scripted TV I can't believe I was ever entertained by this shit.. real words from real people matter far more than FOX and NBC and CBS' scripted actions/dramas/comedies.
+Louis Rossmann Haha! That makes a lot of sense! I think for the most part i watch your videos because it seems like you know what you are talking about, and you take a logical approach to problem solving. But another reason, which may apply to more people, is that i have completely replaced TV with YouTube, because TV sucks. Youtube sucks too because it doesn't care about the viewers, but thats a different discussion, but after a while of searching for stuff i find interesting, i stumble across your channel.I think its interesting the way you have buildt a business in a fairly niche market because some big company doesn't handle their own repair policy in a fair way. So that is definately nice to see too. So you probably understand why i stopped watching this video in particular after five minutes. But then again I'm not asking you to change because i understand why you make them. It's better for you to do exactly what you want with your channel so that it makes you happy, rather than trying to turn it into a monemaker. You have a dayjob anyway so the happiness and or peace of mind you get from making these youtube videoes is worth more to you than the money you could make here.
+Magne BugtenI would be terrible at reading off of scripts.I started this in 2012 when I got pissed off at resellerratings. That video got a lot of views for discussing the extortionist business practices they would use to keep people subscribed and paying increasing fees.I was seeing a therapist shortly thereafter, very ineffective. Just god awful. At one point we spent 20 minutes of the session discussing WINDOWS 8 SOUND DRIVERS!!!and I was paying for this shit.So one day, I decided to record it. I noticed a few things. I was discussing what I thought that day and it allowed me to process what I thought differently from when I would just think about it. The second thing I noticed, is that big inconsistencies in my thought process became apparent when I knew that other people would be watching my content, so it allowed me the opportunity to revisit what I thought and realize "hey, that makes no fuckin' sense!"Which was pretty cool.I never had any concept of 33,324 people being subscribed to this. Or anyone even bothering to watch.I am stunned everyday that people actually take away from their free time to watch my videos.
+Magne Bugten oh well. I do these videos to express what I feel at the time, not to get the max number of subscribers. if that were the goal i'd have a makeup channel...
APPLE HACKED BY FBI ~ IPHONE TECHNOLOGY NOT SECURE
APPLE HACKED BY FBI ~ IPHONE TECHNOLOGY NOT SECURE ...
They have had a backdoor access since day one! It was a promotional bit.
Apple is probably the easiest to access, so they might want everyone with
something to hide to use that service.... I think people should have access
to politicians phones, if they can have access to ours.
Are you Muslim?
If you aren't doing anything wrong why do you need a encryption???
If the government wants something you should be a patriot and had it over.
All this time I thought you were a real American.
*I am JOKING! LOL*
i'm still pretty skeptical about this. I think they wanted a public fight
to see public perception. Since they lost, they had to backtrack gracefully
since their attempt failed. Quite amazing that a company can take on the
gov't and not the people. Cyber security is always a moving target. When
one hole is closed, another one is opened. This is another scare tactic
man, you're better than this.
+FreedomForceUSA Like you said, I don't think the FBI needed to do this in the public, they used propaganda to get people against apple, since it went the otherway, they had no choice but to pull the plug. Also, if an Israeli company is hacking US cryptography, that has its own implications.. So, my thought is this was purely a marketing stunt. Also, when you spoke of a hole being open, there are always holes open. There are security patches done to equipment on a regular basis. The cryptography is usually not the bug if it is in 2048 bits. The problem is usually an exploited bug in the OS, which is usually closed up after time. So, there's always a way to hack anything.
FBI ditches Apple hearing after finding a way to hack iPhone
The FBI called off the hearing it was supposed to have in court with Apple today because a third party has apparently proposed an alternate method of breaking ...
+Game Guardian just a matter of time before google will have to bend over if apple did. think about it. apple was fighting for everyone not just apple. now they hacked themselves without having to give up to fbi there encryption. who you think help fbi hack it ? apple ofcourse.
FBI understood they would loose and didn't want to create a jurisdiction.
so they quit telling they found a way to hack the iPhone for keeping their
"dignity" (Or NSA helped here). They'll wait for a better occasion to
attack again but now all the industry will try harder to avoid that by
enforcing higher quality encryption with no way to hack, even for the
manufacturer.
The legal showdown between Apple and the FBI is officially over after the intelligence agency successfully hacked into the iPhone of one of the San Bernardino ...
GO FBI , I'm all for it if there are thinking people behind that with
clean morals/constitutional protectors it's just minions like
Stalinists/hitlerites/maos/pol pots/ and alike that bother me.
the third party was the Israeli government, my question is if they could do
it why couldn't ours? Am I the only one that thinks this goes to show how
stupid the people in our government really are.
