This is a nice review, However, There are a couple of features that are not
accurate. The first is what you stated about the 8MP camera. You said that
this phones camera and HD video recording isn't the best out there on a
cell phone. I would say out of ALL cameras on cell phones, this is
defiantly in the top 5, And thats out of ALL. The HD video recording on
this phone is on par with that of Nokia's N8, and the N8 is a bench-marking
phone when it comes to HD recording.
@csy30076 Thank you for the comment. But I think I would have to disagree
with you. Top 5 cameras on smartphones in my opinion would be 1-Iphone 4,
2-HTC Sensation, 3-Samsung Galaxy s2, 4-mytouch slide 4g, and 5, the htc
evo 3d. Although I do think this phone falls into top 10, not for long
though.
Great review. Probably gonna get this used off ebay as my secondary phone.
Did you talk about call quality and reception? not sure if you did.
Sometimes people still use these things as "phones" ya know. ahah
You gotta show more things in your reviews. The browser, messaging,
keyboard, the camera. It just seemed like you keep scrolling around the
home screen. Hope future videos get better
@NDogg15. 600mb is a big game for a "Smartphone". Sure it is nothing on a
PC or a Mac but on a smartphone most of the 3D games average out at about
200mb.

How To Take Screenshots on Your Android Device
I've always just rooted my devices and then added any one of the plethora of apps on the Market to then take advantage of that root access to do screenshots.
You probably wouldn't have time to make a tutorial how to install a
different rom, would you ? I mean a fresh, clean install... my psp are
douchebags that installed a bunch of apps that I don't care about and I
can't uninstall them for some reason (most likely those apps are hard-coded
into the custom rom or something like that)
LG G2X with EaglesBlood Ice Cream Sandwich, AOSP Build 5
Hey peoples! We bring you Team EB's latest release which is Build 5. So far it's been great on battery life and overall smoothness. It has been updated to the ...
Well, the difference between the two is that the CM9 version includes all
of the CyanogenMod settings and customizations. While the AOSP includes
Team EaglesBlood's own, created settings and customizations. You will
mainly notice the difference in stability. The CM9 version was only built
for 2 times and then because of it being instable the team switched to AOSP
where they were able to fix those common issues. I would recommend the AOSP
one, since it is the latest Built version. ~Imraan
Haha, I mentioned this too many times already as well as the devs. The
Camera works perfectly for me. I can Focus, take a shot with flash and it
all goes really fast. As for the Camcorder, there are 2 problems. Drivers
and Acceleration...unfortunately we have none of those. We will require the
Official LG release to have the need Camcorder Drivers and the official
source will also allow us to use Hardware+Media acceleration. So, we have
to simply wait :) ~Imraan
The baseband and the ROM are separate. By flashing the ROM you can change
the Boot partition, the Kernel and OS itself. However, the baseband is
something on its own. In order to get the latest version you will need to
update it through the LG Tool. I have tried multiple times but it cannot
seem to work on the Wind Mobile P999-DW. What you will need to do is go
back to Froyo 2.2.2 Stock and then update to March 2012 baseband with GB
2.3.4. ~Imraan
You must have flashed an Incomplete ROM. Please redownload the ROM and the
latest GAPPs for Ice Cream Sandwich. Copy those to your SD Card and first
start by removing the battery and plugging it back. Hold the Power and Vol
Down to go to your recovery and then perform a Full Wipe install and then
install GAPPs since you didn't keep them in the same folder. Once that is
done, Reboot the device and it should be up and running :) ~Imraan
Lockscreen Music player works with Google Play Music. You can get that app
and it is fully featured with all features. If you want to spend, then get
PowerAMP which is by far the most epic and diverse Music Player. As for the
Transparent app drawer I am using a Custom Launcher called Nova. It's free
and there is a Premium version as well which adds even more features (The
free one allows transparency) :) ~Imraan
I already talked to a man who deals with cell phones but no sense ...I have
the warranty card so I will ask them to give me a new cell phone..if they
wont give me that guy will be fix my phone..already tried that hard reset
with power and vol down keys but nothing happend..thanks anyway ;)...it was
my mistake cuz i skip 1 step...thought its like any other rom instalation
but it seems like it isn't...
Hey man, firstly, I only review ROMs lol. The Developers are Doniqcc, B0XER
and CSM from Team EB. They are awesome guys and are always there for help.
As for WIFI calling, this issue happens because of the SIM card type. Go to
the XDA Thread and search around. There is only a specific SIM version that
will allow WIFI calling to work flawlessly. You can request T-Mobile for an
upgrade :) ~Imraan
This video showed the Latest release and since then there hasn't been much
of an update. I currently have it setup as my brother's main ROM and so far
it's been good. Stay away from it if you have tons of apps to install. I
noticed with just a little too many it got really sluggish. Other than
that, everything is quite usable and the main stuff work, so data, GPS,
tethering, Wifi etc. ~Imraan
Unfortunately, nothing for this phone. The brother device, Optimus 2X has
recently gotten a Korean Jelly Bean port and there is also a pretty decent
stableish CyanogenMod 10 version out as well. Soon enough, it will be
ported over. The Team EaglesBlood have taken a pause from the device
because of lack of official material to work with. They should be back upon
it shortly as well :) ~Imraan
The issue lies within the Source Code. The Official Drivers are not there
as well as the Media Acceleration is absent. Without that it will NOT
perform or hardly at all. You could try LG Camera which tends to take
20-30sec clips without crashing. Some people also tried Camera Illusion and
it was able to film at least 1min without crashing. Try them out and tell
me how it went :) ~Imraan
Hey Imraan you guys make great ROMs. I'm using Eagles Blood Gingerbread
with the Faux Kernel. Its amazing. I really want to use your ICS Rom but I
can never get the wifi calling to work. I live in a canyon with no cell
service so wifi is important. It always says connecting to T-Mobile servers
but will never connect. Do you know of any tricks to make wifi calling work
on ICS?
Make sure you Underclock the CPU by -25mV or even -50mV. Set profiles to
lower CPU to 389 MAX when the screen is turned off. Turn off services you
don't use such as GPS or Bluetooth and as a general heads up, don't use the
phone for like an hr in a row since it is not a computer, it will over heat
:) As for the kernel I have updated the Description! ~Imraan
When ever I install and ICS rom on my G2X the battery life gets
slaughtered. Do you have any idea why? It will seriously die in 6-7 hours
on standby. I don't even use it and it just dies. The phone also feels warm
all the time. I am currently stuck on GB roms because the battery life
lasts all day but I want to switch to ICS!
I have some baseband trouble. Where can I finde the correct one? I have
installed the 21y version of the ROM or whatnot.(i confuse the thing there
the 21y is the latest baseband?) I have to flash the baseband if I select
it in the arome installer? Or it comes with? I have tries both 21y and 21e
neither work. Pls help.
Sadly I have moved on to another device and I don't have access to the G2x
I onced owned. I will still be able to help you guys out though if you have
any questions. As for the Camcorder, it can and will only be fixed once the
Official ICS is released for the Optimus 2x and ported to the G2x. ~Imraan
