I apologize and take everything back. I was not in the right state of mind when listening to the show. John Mayer is great and is really adding to the dead legacy. Considering he had to learn like 100 songs is very impressive. I suggest being in a good mood and not in a stressful mood when giving this a listen. There are good moments and I have to let my expectations glide into a new reality.Peace and love 

+Tommy McKaughan I always get a kick out of people who "hate the band/hate the band without Jerry/have hated the band since Pig died" but rather that simply turning it off and moving on they feel obliged to point out just how completely stupid we are for holding a different opinion. Truth is whatever anyone else thinks of the band - good, bad, or indifferent - doesn't affect my enjoyment of the music one little bit.

+Johan Christensen 1st show '77. seen them 15 times with Jerry. No one can replace Jerry but this is an amazing evolution, far better than Fare thee well for me. Great to see/hear the music being pushed forward again. The Company part to this experience holds their own and more. So happy to hear this music reinterpreted. It's a testament to how goofy and spaced-out people were in the '70s that the "dance" footage wasn't left on the cutting room floor. Maybe it's a testament to the pure, all-encompassing high octane power of an opiate high, too, since Jerry was overseeing the film editing.

+MECA PD CHANELL II Well, it matters to the folks that were there. And for historical accuracy. This was the at the time the "last" Grateful Dead concert. That's what everyone thought and that was kind of a big deal. October 18th, 1974. Thanks for putting this up as the other version that's on youtube gets cut off. And the Grateful Dead movie came out in, I believe 76'. But the differences between 1974 and 1976 are immense. Historically, musically and within the Grateful Dead circle. It's not really stupid.
