How sensless? Why do not use the suv for the trailer? Traileraxle to farbig
in the back so you exeed atv's tongueweight if you spread your load evenly.

Utility Trailer Final Review - Part 3 --- Video #25
This is the final segment on the utility/equipment trailer build project I started several months ago. This video does a walk-around review and describes some of ...
+kwrightway Great, thanks very much. I learned much from your video and plan to use that knowledge to build wooden side rails for my Load Rite trailer.
+Rand Peck If you scroll through the videos on my channel, you will find parts one and two. They are not numbered as they were posted before I started number the videos.
+Myfootsasmokin Years ago, I had a tilt-bed snowmobile trailer that eventually developed electrical gremlins. I finally traced it down to an inconsistent ground at the pivot point for the tilt bed (a factory trailer). Corrosion, age and wear interfered with the ground path. I ran a separate ground from hitch pigtail all the way back to each light and the problem went away. I also know others that have had the same problem. Since this was a new build and it wasn't much more work, I simply wanted to be on the safe side. That's why I ran a separate ground from front to back and not depend on the trailer body for grounding at all. Thanks for the comment.
where did you get the shoulder bolts and keys? I picked up a few of those
wheel chocks....really like the 'removable' option you added.
also, props on your idea to add furniture bolts to the back side of the
skirt's 2×4's. your angled cut at the top looks nice, too
I would like to ask since you removed the two long hitch bolts and replaced
them with 4 SS bolts, where did you connect the chain????? The chain
originally had been connected to one of the long bolts holding it to the
hitch???? Thanks
Hi, I'm in the UK and just wanted to say how great your trailer looks. I am
into motorcycles also - I have a zx10 and want to build a similar trailer
to yours to take it to the track. Can you give me pointers for all the
tools/materials I need? Much appreciated . Richard
+Richard63626362 Richard, I started with a manufactured trailer "kit", that comes knocked down. Using this as a foundation, I added the stake pockets decking and other items. The floor and side walls were made from treated lumber as used for home decks. The other items such wheel chocks, hold down rings, etc. I sourced mostly online, though these can items can also usually be bought through farm stores or motorcycle dealers. I can't provide any advice regarding finding a trailer kit in the UK, as this is outside my arena.
That is the best harber frieght trailer I've seen ,and the wood work looks
awesome, and I like how all the bolts are through&through, truly an awesome
job
Great job, looks professionally built! I am about to start the same
project here after X-mas. One question i had was, Did you apply the primer
and base coat directly over the red coating that the trailer comes in? if
so what brand primer and base coat did you use? Thanks
Not sure I responded to the question about the paint. I scuffed the original red paint with (I believe) 220 grit sandpaper, cleaned well with acetone and then applied the primer. Messy and time consuming but effective.
+Jeremy Myers I used 1x6 treated lumber, nine of them. Similar to installing tile, I started in the middle of the trailer frame and centered the first plank's center line with the center of the trailer. I then worked outward. As I reached the outside, I did have to cut a bit off the two outside boards on each side. To do this, I clamped a straight edge along the full length of the side, then used my circular saw (up against the fence) to cut about 1/8" outside the trailer frame itself. Though this took a few minutes to set up,it worked out well and gave a nice finished look to the decking. Note I used the same technique did the same at the front and rear of the bed, also.
+kwrightwayQuestion on the decking... I am planning to be using 1x6x8 pressure treated. What size and how many boards did you use? It looks in the video that you have to cut one smaller than the others, true?
+kwrightwayThanks for the quick reply! That does sound time consuming but, just look at what your return is in the end. I am planning on doing the same process as it will leave me with a nice looking trailer for years to come.
To prepare for final paint, I carefully hand sanded everything I could reach with 220 grit paper. I then blew the sanding dust off with compressed air, followed by a through cleaning with acetone. This was a messy, time consuming but effective process. I also used the same brand primer as the final top coat to coat and prepare the original (sanded) finish before final painting. The paint I used was Duplicolor ceramic, high temperature gloss black. Thanks for the kind comments...

How to load a moose in an ATV tub trailer.
Turn the tub trailer up-side-down on top of the moose. Run the winch cable under the moose and hook onto the tub trailer axle. Winch in.
