Just started to look at my dream car again. The cutlass 442 is the one that
does it. I just saw all your videos...keep up the good work...AWSOME !!!
Had one in my 20's and now almost 50 and want one again ! Thought i would
try to find one all there, but needed to be restored. Wanted to do a father
son restoration. Any ideas how to find one ??
Nice car. Looks a lot better than the '70 Cutlass Supreme coupe I bought
this weekend for $400. It's gonna be a long time before mine is even close
to this one. I decoded the build tag, she came from the factory as a triple
black car. Something to strive for when doing the body work. Thanks for
sharing!
@snowlionud You know, I hadn't even thought about that. I guess I just
figured they would all deteriorate or be smashed for scrap by then. I can't
even imagine people at car shows in 50 years, polishing up their KIA for
the judges...lol.
@RamblinAround xD ok yea my car is a peice of shit im fixing up and even
with problems it gets better gas milage then my truck xD yea the shape of
the rear window makes it hard to figure what paint the car
If car companies have a heaven and hell, Olds is in hell for sure. They
made some mean ass cars back in the day, and picked on Mr. goodie-goodie
Chevrolet for most of their time on the road.
@RamblinAround I sent him the link to the vid I made for you. I got the
album out I had the registration in and was looking at a bunch more
pictures of the SS. It did about 11's in the 1/4 mile. It developed a wrist
pin knock, so I had to unload it before I ran into a bunch more expenses.
That car has so much low end torque, it used to blow up cluster gears. I
had hooker headers on it too. had to take out the reverse lock out to fit
in the headers, pretty common, cars with backup lights on.
That was My First New Car I bought. It came in a Pkg SS396 2dr Hardtop
b/seat positive rear Muncie Rally Wheels w/white ltr tiger paws Cranberry
Red w/black interior bought in Sept 69 for I think it was less than thirty
four Hundred. I plan on buying that Car Again Very Soon :P Best things I
can recall about the car was the C/induction/the pipes (sound) & the Hole
shots were great.
@paradoxdesigns Could have put in a rollbar and harnesses...lol Back in
1996, I had a chance to buy a 1970 Buick GS455 Convertible in amazing
condition for only $8000. It was basically Buick's version of this
Chevelle....510 LB FT of torque. Money was a little tight at the time and I
had to pass. I still wish I would've gotten that one.
A little over a month ago,i was outside one of the local stores here in
town and some had one of those it wasn't a convertible. The guy stood on the
gas and drifted it around the corner from a dead stop.I got to admit even
though i'm a mopar guy,i love the sounds of those old chevy engines.
You're a bad influence on me- showing me all these nice muscle cars. I'm
hoping to acquire a third generation Cutlass ('68-'72). Needs lots of work,
but for $400 and it might even run? I think I may have to jump on the deal.
@marvintheboon Thanks to you and Roadking, now I know more about the weight
of 70 Chevelle than ever before...lol. I'll bet your old car was a heck of
a runner with a 396, a muncie, and no power stuff weighing it down.
@bisquik3006 I'm with you on that one. I'd much rather have a hardtop,
they're lighter, more structurally sound, and faster. The guy that ends up
buying this will probably already have a hardtop at home anyway.
@pulse0000 I think almost anybody can respect a 70 Chevelle SS...it's an
amazing car. I've owned mostly Fords over the years, but the Chevelle SS is
still one of my all-time favorite muscle cars.
Lol the kid in the back ground, when he walks by right before u turn off
the camera... Ur face is like I'm gonna kill this bitch lol -Very sexy car
I love the color but rag tops aren't my style
@marvintheboon Check your #'s again Marv, your 1000 Lbs off. The 454 is
3800 lbs and they're pretty much the same engine. We're talking factory
stock here, Not a stripped down track car.
Wow I'm drooling over this one, very very nice. It is hard to beat the
looks of a 70 Chevelle and the fact that is a Rat Rag, just puts this one
over the top. Thanks for posting this.
i wanted to buy one of these when i was 16. parents wouldn't let me because
no roof + power = death trap. it wasn't nearly as nice as that but i'm sure
i would have kept it upright.
