In that MY the "D" button didn't change anything in the suspension
settings, that is why it feels exactly the same when you went over the
bumps in both "D" and "N".
Btw.... I've got one of those, and despite being very happy to own it and
drive it, the worst feature of it is the suspension quality...both the
springs and dampers are pretty bad, even more with the 18" wheels like
mine. Fortunately with around €750/£600 it is easily solved and the car
just transforms itself, if people consider it as an option, just spend some
coins on 4x koni FSD dampers with 4x eibach Pro-kit springs, issue solved.
It looks better lowered by about 25mm/30mm and much more compliant with the
roads, whilst also being more sporty to drive.
