Hey fred. I recently decided to ''Take the lane'' from now on, and act like
a driver of a vehicle. So far it's working out great. No more close passing
and people change lanes without too much fuss. just one thing, one of the
routes I use is a 2 lane road with a turn lane, and the speed limit is
40mph. Should I ride in the center of the lane or to the Right a bit? I am
also worried about being stopped by the police for impeding traffic. What
do you think?

@CycleMan2200 I stay to the right of center, usually about where the right
tire tracks are at. Be out far enough that they HAVE to go over the line
into the next lane to pass. This isn't rude, this is so that they actually
see you consciously as a potential while overtaking and take oncoming
traffic (or parallel traffic) into account while passing.
