Ticked off you can't run more than 64GB in your PC? We just smashed through that barrier and went all the way to 128GB of system RAM. Click here to ...
+patrick Tighe yea 8GB definently aint enough for modern demanding games, you can't do anything else on your system with just 8 on them. I upgraded to 16 too recently
+Amlan Naskar not really unless your games were on the ram disk then load times would be much faster but the draw backs are the you have to move the stored files off it everytime your computer shuts down i run 16GB of ram personally and its fine most recommend 8GB for gaming but i use 8gb too easily
+Lemon Chief My main PC is a 4790K @ a modest 4.6ghz, air cooled with an HE02.But I've built other systems with non-K chips that absolutely do not require anything more than a stock cooler. That's what I'm saying, chips are so advanced now that unless you're overclocked, stock cooling is completely fine. That's all.
+Lemon Chief In 2015 with the most modern Intel CPUs, they run so frosty that unless you're overclocking, stock coolers are absolutely fine in a case with good ventilation.A couple of years ago making fun of stock cooling had some validity. With modern chips using such tiny dies and such low voltage, with no-oc, stock cooling is more than adequate.Shoot, you can run a 45w chip passively with an Evo 212+ these days. Silence is awesome.
i work at staples and i took a look at the weekly catalog, saw there was
the new surface pro 4...read it...said it came with 128gb of RAM....dafuq
corporate. came home to this being in my recommended. someone also shit in
the bathroom trashcan...next to the toilet. #Ilovemyjob
+7sinsComp the new surface pro 4s most certainly do not have 128gb of ram. You'd need a desktop with a motherboard that can support it and enough space in the case in general, the 8 cards alone probably take up more volume than the tablet does haha
//www.beyourownit.com -We show you what ram looks like, where to find it, and how to install it. Pretty much everything you need to know to upgrade or ...
Thanks so much for the vid! A technician at Microsoft, very helpful
otherwise, warned me very seriously to not try to add RAM on my own to my
Dell 2003. (It is old, but was only used for one year and then sat in a
corner for 8 years.) But you make me feel like I can do it and save $!
Since you said to ask Qs, anything you want to advise? Is it okay to buy
RAM on Amazon? Thanks much.
1GB is alot of RAM for speed, RAM stands for Random access memory, it's the
speed of your Computer, the more RAM the more it's better, RAM is physical
memory that is the speed of your Computer, Hard drive is different, Hard
drive is storage, so when you install a game, that game is stored in your
Hard drive, the more hard drive space the better.
@iggymydog Not necessarily, depends on your operating system and other
hardware that goes with it. Each computer has a limiting facter ie the
factor that is furthest from its optimum and limiting a pc's performance.
RAM can be one but thats rarely the issue.
I have a HP computer i am currently using, i also have a Dell PC but that
isnt working at the moment, would i be able to just take out the 2 rams
from the Dell PC and just put them in my HP computer? or is it not that
simple?
im running vista 32 os, i heard it only recognizes 3gb of ram. i have 4gb
of ram but have a 1gb videocard. does that mean i have 3gb of ram left, or
does it me i have 2 becuase vista 32 doesnt rezognize the 4th gb
So you don't need to edit anything in BIOS? I'm new to this stuff as my
friend built my computer for me. I am wanting to upgrade my ram and seeing
people that they need to edit things in BIOS.
I have a gateway dx2641-01m and i would like to know what brand of ddr
could be good to ugrade it, also if i just set it in the ports it would
actually recognize it?
omg iam getting my custom pc soon! thanks and i have one more question how
many ram sticks can you have max? TY and do you recommend ddr3 4 gb gamer
notch ram?
You have to make sure that the ram in your Dell PC is what will fit your HP
Pc. Check the motherboard specs and make sure its the same everything
(speed, etc)
does this stick work with a normal LCD monitor. which has DVI, but I have
the converter HDMI to DVI. I was wondering how the audio will come out.
please kindly help me out.
can i run minesweeper? (NOT A FUCKING JOKE, I FUCKING MEAN IT!)

+WeirdIntellectual I also forgot that you will need to buy a new fridge every fortnight since the PC will be pumping out heating which will mean the fridges compressor will keep running trying to get the fridge back to being cold which will never happen so the motor will burn out

+Raaiizee Try and buy your parts from Newegg, normally they are much cheaper so you could be in luck. Also i think on July 15, on Amazon it's going to be something called prime day so you save more money on the sales that day. Other than that, i suggest you do a beginner build and don't go in to SLI and stuff and look for direct upgrades, just get a 450 W EVGA or Corsair PSU because both are reliable and EVGA tends to be a bit cheaper. But the thing with Newegg is that if something happens not to work (doesn't happen often so shouldn't be a worry, but allows you to use less well known brands), and you have a 15 day return policy (just check before adding products). Try adding your products or find cheaper alternatives to get a good system without it being underpowered. For the Case you can get something good and a little cheap from corsair, fractal designs etc. But in the end, don't forget that you need an operating system like windows bought to be installed and a few case fans for air flow.
+TMay™ Ive got a problem this Cougar case doesn't ship to New Zealand from Amazon is there any other case recommendations that would fit this build.Or any other websites that sell these Also the EVGA 500W Bronze PSU Is breaking the bank is their another PSU That are cheaper but still reliable.
Oh right that is one thing i forgot to mention. So if you SLI your cards, you are drawing more power, about 180W or so, therefore your power draw is above 500W then. But with your motherboard, I checked and it doesn't support SLI sadly :( So if you chose to get another card in the future it would be a replacement with a higher tier nvidia card.I'd say you'd have to upgrade and pick a higher tier mobo that supports SLI or choose an AMD card which you can crossfire (same as SLI just with AMD cards) as your motherboard supports it.If you choose AMD, I would suggest the R9 380 or the R9 390 because it performs a little better than the 960 and 970 respectively, and at a lower cost.If you have any questions I'd wouldn't mind helping :)
+TMay™ I am planning for 1080p 60fps gaming but definitely not 4k because i am only 13 and i don't have the money to purchase a 4k monitor. Lots of people are saying upgrade to a 600w Power supply why would that be?
+Raaiizee Also are you planning for 1080p gaming? or 2k to 4k?For 1080p the 960 is quite good, and the 4gb version is a safe zone too. Plus SLI (getting another card for it) will increase it's span of use as the performance scales well. Just not sure your mobo will support it as it is micro ATX. But since you are upgrading a lot, wait about a year and Nvidia will release their next line of even better cards, so you can get a 980ti kind of card for much cheaper than it is :)
