Thank you for this tutorial. You are stunning! No matter how much blending i do my foundation always looks cacky . I try to set it with powder and it looks just as caky! And I moisturize like crazy! Any suggestions?

Or instead use a setting spray to your face and avoid the powder and you'll have a natural finish on you and you look poreless

Hey found you on youtube just a few weeks ago and i am stoked! You are my woman crush wednesday on insta, you seem badass and sweet. You should do a video on where you like to shop. I had another idea too but i forgot, ill have to comment again later. My insta is @brexchristine so keep your eye out!! I might be commenting on there too! Oh you should do a question video because i have 1 question for you that i dont think you could make into one video, its kinda embarrassing i guess. My question is, well you are beautiful and wear makeup and have a badass style, i love to wear makeup but whenever i go anywhere it feels like everyone is stairing at me mostly men and makes me feel extremely uncomfortable. I am sure people stare at you too but how do you deal with it, i dont think it is a confidance thing because i just feel paranoid like someones following me, and it makes me want to dress down when i go out.. but i would love to beable to dress and be me and presentable 100% of the time. Does this happen to you? How do you deal with it?

+bre xchristine I actually understand your feelings, I like make up and dressing up but I usually do it at home because I feel really weird going out like that... people just stare at me like I was mannequin and it makes me feel anxious.

I follow you on Instagram and i am about to do some makeup and take some pictures and use your video as inspiration but i dont know if that would be clogging your feed? Also question, what brand hair color do you use? Hair video soon? I noticed you have burgunday and then it fades to pink? Or is it a pink light you lightened? Possible q&a hair video? +bre xchristine No I get exactly where you are coming from I'm very nervous and to be honest I do a tonne on my own I actually am pretty much with my partner 99% of the time so I'm okay in that sense, even then sometimes people stare and can be odd but I try not to pay attention too much, I'm socially rather awkward x

Oh my goodness, I love watching you in your videos. I just love you! I don't know if it's actually the Aerin product or just expert application but you do look beautifully tanned & fresh. I've been going to art gallery openings and summer block party BBQs in NYC where it's completely sweaty and the air conditioner just dies when there are too many people, so I've been really working on a summertime look that stays fresh in NYC July. Your look is exactly like what I'm going for!

Out of all the beauty videos I've seen on Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, you are the only one to make me want to look at it again. After watching this, I went to sephora to try the hourglass powder and loved loved it! ...and so I bought it. :) It had been on my list to try/buy for a few months now, but I was skeptical about it actually working. I love shimmer so i don't mind (though i do have a very oily skin) so some precision application and probably not all over as Ruth did and i should be ok :) thanks for your response, i want to try hourglass products but i feel like if my msf might be similar theres no need to go and buy the hourglass one :)

Ruth, I have the Chanel Poudre Douce in #20 Peche Tender. I was wondering how that might compare to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. I bought it some time ago and never really made it work. Thanks. Great video as always. I always learn so much from watching you.

thank you for this video. i got hourglass lighting powder from a friend who won it in a giveaway from sephora. i love it! it doesnt make you look fake at all. the swatch is scary but on the face with a brush is lovely. question is it meant for WHOLE FACE?

I've had my eye on the Hourglass powder for a little while, and now I'm nearly ready to go get it. The eye BB cream sounds like such a smart product. I like concealers with spf and they're hard to find. I must try this.

Yay I just got the ambient powder in dim and have been experimenting but I haven't yet tried it with the NARS tinted moisturizer. I will do it today. Also supposedly Wet n wild Copacabana is similar to dim.

I also do this, and actually tell clients to blink into the mascara when I'm doing freelance makeup. I find it easier and the mascara applies faster this way :)
