Is the Multiamp from DV Mark the best simulator/emulator Amplifier available? and is this a new contender for the top of the pile in this crowded area of products?

Hey mate can you help me with a few questions? I received this last week was unsure where to plug the cabinet in so used the speaker out because I got the mono I just used one side of the jack turned it on and blown a fuse. so I put the spare in and decided to just plug it into the mains with no cab and it blown again. watching your video you mentioned something about blowing the amp with with wrong voltage.I'm waiting for a new one to arrive... could you tell me if I plugged the cabinet into the correct part of the dv mark and also what do I do to prevent the next one blowing? I plugged it right into the mains in my wall so what do I do? I'd really appreciate a reply thanks alot

+shaun young Speaker out to cabinet... that simple! You will see a mono out for mono and of course stereo use both... (in to a stereo cab!). The only thing that goes in to the mains is the power cord. Don't plug anything else in unless you are sure... and be careful. Don't get hurt.

I´ve tried it and it´s a transistor amp with NO chance against a quality tube amp.

+Birger Westin Of course the 'amp' is a transistor amp, but the simulator is like the other ones out there its basically software. Remember the speaker choice on this device will change any 'boominess' etc. if you choose a different one. Hope it helps and thanks.

Well, I still think that the Multiamp is an average transistor amp. It has the typical hard clean sound. When playing lower notes with an half acustic the bass tend to boom, and when playing higher notes it sounds thin. Spending time with it won´t change that fact. But I like your review though. /Birger

+Birger Westin Of course it is a simulated guitar amp sound and is not really a true tube amp. I think this amp does have it's place (check out Andy James playing it) for guys that do not want to lug around amps. I like tube amps too remember so I don't need convincing that tube amps sound better, but this Multiamp can sound pretty good if you spend time with it. +andycc231 I would describe it as similar... but there's nothing quite like a stereo rig for that all encompassing sound with real width.

Is the voltage difference that bit a deal? I've found a Multiamp Mono (I only use a single cab) on Thomann. Would the voltage difference cause that much of a problem?

+RustyR Not sure where you are Rusty... if you're UK and its 230 on the gear and you need 240? no difference buy it... of 110/120 and the gear is 230/240 then that might be a bit of an issue... you would need a step up transformer of adequate output...
