@Aldaris8 it prob is a good show & there's nothing wrong with that, I'll watch cartoons & films if they are on & worth watching, but if SG1/SGA was the intellectual ceiling of most 'true fans' & that was all they ever wanted from a show, then I'm not surprised they axed SGU. With that kind of audience it never stood a chance. its not teen angst drama, teens create problems out of situations that normal people would think were mediocre. fighting for your very survival is not a mediocre situation.

CARTOON PONYS. hey dude, watch your goofy fisher price TV scifi all you want. if thats your thing then cool, but real life? it isn't like that. & Call SGU a soap Opera if you wish, but it most certainly wasn't written by a 14 year old. I'm happy to watch my interpersonal conflicts & other emotional crap that apparently 'no one cares about' except of course myself & everybody else who has spent more than 5 min's in the real world & can actually relate thos human experiences.

man i am so so very disappointed that there is no season3. i just finished watching season 1& 2 on netflix. i started watching season one on a random choice of just something to watch and i couldn't stop until i finished both seasons one after another for 2-3 days!! what a great, moving, intellectually provocative, emotionally charged, and well written show!! i am so disappointed that there is no season3!!! this SUCKS!!! GET IT BACK I CAN'T STAND THE SUSPENSE!! SOMEBODY PLEASE LOL!

@PRE1959 WELL SAID my friend.. tripe is indeed the word for SG1 & Atlantis . It's funny they talk about SGU not being true to stargate, but GOD.. have any of them even seen the FILM? its SG1 & Atlantis that spoiled Stargate & wasn't true to the original SG. I remember when I first watched the SG series, I loved the film and had such high hope for it & all they did was take a bunch of Ham Actors, churned up some Stilton cheese in the form of humour and made a budget sandwich.

According to io9 and his own statements, David Hewlett (aka Rodney McKay) bought a substantial amount of the sets--likely enough to make it significantly easier to rebuild them if necessary. The costumes and other small props are easily replaced. Some actors/characters would surely have to be replaced too, but SGU will still be SGU as long as Destiny and its mission remain. I for one am not giving up! In any case, thanks for making this video, Joco5012! You rock!

I hated Star Wars, Star Trek, any of that space fake crap... But this show captured so much more than I expected. I put it right up there with True Blood, Dexter, Nikita, Fringe. ECT. SyFy usually has the most stupid movie and tv series on it. I'm hoping SGU will be accepting by a better network and they can move on with this series. It was Syfy who screwed this show over. I'm signing this petition!

Wow, 70,000 views. I never expected so many when I uploaded this. It is so nice to see such a huge support for SGU, I still can't believe that this small video reached 70K! Thank you so much, and I hope you continue to show the support, even though I doubt they will renew it (they sold the sets, outfits, everything), we may persuade them to do something. Love for all the gaters out there!

@Mattcamel51 I know, WTF! I can't believe there wasn't enough fans, sometimes I don't trust ttheir rating system. This show was Fantastic. I started watching it on Netflix, and watched it all the way through it was so good. I was crushed when I came to the end of Season 2 and then found out it was cancelled. IM PISSED!!!!!! I wish I could tell them in person. BRING BACK SGU!!!!!!!!!!!

@Mattcamel51 I never liked SG1 or SGATlantis but then when I saw SGU it was absolutely fantastic, it reminded me of Lost or Battlestar Gallactica, and then they cancelled because of low ratings, but thats because they didn't wait for a fanbase to develop. Of Course the SG1 fans wouldn't like SGU, it wasn't the shallow lighthearted tripe they were used to.

@MGazT I guess any show's that are are character driven with and that require a little intelligence to understand can't stand up to SyFy's standards. Seems like most of their fan base would prefer Sci Fi characters who look like supermodels exchange ridiculous dialogue while fighting for their lives, or maybe some WWF carnival play itself out.

P.S Too much Movies was chanceled: V , HEROES, Legend of the seeker, Kyle XY, Knight rider, Eastwich, and more others nice and good mivies....Why to watch an movie ....and when is more impresive is END then you check imdb and see that was chanceled?

@PRE1959 exactly, I think people who didn't like the dribble that was SG1/Atlantis would have actually LOVED this show. I think many TRUE SCIFI fans stayed away & didn't watch SGU because they thought it was going to be like the same cheesy crap they had previously been spouting in the for of Atlantis/SG1.

hell yeah sgu and brand new are two of the best things that have ever happened to me. it blew my mind when u wont know started playing in that episode couldn't believe it i recognized it immediately.. if sgu doesn't come back its a sign of the humans race sliding into an irreversible state of stupidity.

They cancel good shows for stupid shit like "WRASSLIN" and Reality TV. God i fucking hate what "SYFY" ( stupid name change ) has become. Simple shit like jersey shore and pretty much every reality show goes on and on but good shows that make you think a little gets shut down. UNBELIEVABLE.

Take it to another network, maybe ABC, the writers of Once Upon A Time have Robert Carlyle! They would be Perfect to continue this series. And SYFY messed up by NOT going on network TV with this series, it would have been better and still going with more viewers!

Nice. This is exactly how I represent myself the beginning of a third season continuation, fanfic in my case. The Destiny exits FTL in a desert solar system, with not much power, and targeting a gaz giant. Maybe the star is a little to huge, but I think such system can exist.
