+Anu Priya Well since we are here - you might try a book by prof Jürgen Leonhardt himself - "Latin: Story of a World Language" but there is a host of others:James Clackson : "A Companion to the Latin Language (Blackwell)", James Clackson, Geoffrey Horrocks: "The Blackwell History of the Latin Language",Tore Janson, Merethe Damsgaard Sørensen, Nigel S Vincent: "A Natural History of Latin", or Nicholas Ostler "Ad Infinitum: A Biography of Latin", and of course, last but not least - Leonard Robert Palmer "The Latin Language" - there are many others, just referenced the ones that I think are the most useful and fun to read.,
