@vifter The issue here isn't with with the mounting. I sealed off all contact points between the AC unit, the window, and the accordion panels with polyurethane foam insulation to eliminate air leaks due to mounting issues. The bag in the video is only attached to the AC unit itself, not to anything around it. How else can you explain the respiration of the bag in the video given those conditions?

Most Americans nowadays are just plain lazy and brain-dead and leave the AC in the window year round, even in the winter. Fools. You loose a ton of heat if you leave them in. Take them out in the early fall and store them in a dry place......you will save a ton in heating bills.

I left mine in but what i did since the inner parst slide out i sealed them in with window sealer for ac units. i didnt have much air coming through during the winter this year. Always seal them in as much as possible

Those stats look cool. Long Island is where I found out about that high leg by accidentally blowing up my drop light. I needed light while on a roof so I put my cheaters on a 3phase unit and.... poof.
