This is me singing the Doris Day version of Dream a Little Dream of Me. I heard this song the other day and fell in love with it! I hope you enjoy listening to it ^_^ ...
I was ready to give this five seconds of my time and maybe rate it a
generous 2. Instead I already played it five times and gave it a 9. "STARS
FADING...but I linger on..." "STILL CRAVING your kiss... I would say a bit
more contrast (dynamics) where appropriate (like Doris does) and I would
bump it up to a 9.5. A great cover and quite refreshing! Note that this
critique is coming from a person who knows less than nothing about voice
lessons but loves Doris Day's style. ;')
What beautiful mood that was set by those beautiful pictures, that haunting
quality that old film stars held that compelled you not to look away! I
love Doris Day's version of "Dream a Little Dream of Me", and I think you
emitted a very nice, similar emotion to it that greatly sufficed the tone
of the video.
These few minutes I've been listening to your song were simply marvelous. I
wish you to become a famous singer. And this song was written to be sang by
you. :) A humble dream of mine: to hear you singing "Fever" and "Why don't
you do right?" songs. I'm sure that would be superb.
she is so beautiful! she makes music... now in days there isnt a scrap of
'music' on. this is music, passion, real talent, and a voice that will stop
hearts, or make them race. not songs that make parents drop their jaws, and
give them a heart attack!!
Audrey Hepburn... There was a LADY!! The way a lady should sing, but far
too few ever did. The elegance, the sensitivity, and crystal-clear beauty
was almost unparallelled. Sure don't make 'em like that anymore... All my
love, DKM
Well, you´re singing it better than any other person I´ve ever heard, even
famous singers. Whenever I want to listen to this song, I always run to
this page to listen to you ;) Congratulations for the amazing performance.
I just want to say thank you again to everyone who has commented. I may not
have responded to each of you individually, but I did read each one and was
touched by your words. I'm so happy you like my performance :-)
Well done. Love the photos, I wish *most* of the attitudes of that era
still stood. Too much greed and 'why-not' attitudes today. And I've still
got about 60 years to go!
Oh my goodness this is wonderful! I had no clue it was a cover! I say that
because your voice is just so lovely! And I really enjoyed it, and the
pictures too(:
Honestly, when I first watched this video I thought "Wow! I need to find
this on iTunes!" Great Job! Your voice is truly lovely.

"don't throw WORDS when you are ANGRY" What words were thrown? S/he
(whoever it was) spoke nothing but facts in their comments. I'm a die-hard
Buble fan as well, and, though I loved Aleks rendition, it really didn't
sound as close to Michael's as they were making it seem. Now, he's great,
don't get me wrong, but, "Michael Buble"? Not really. They really shouldn't
be compared, seeing as how Aleks has yet to come into his own style and
Buble has been there for quite some time. But, whatever.
it is clear that you did not get wot I meant...I was sayin that
ParasiteSuckBlood should not say anything when he/she is angry...Words bein
said when you are angry don't mean anything because it is only out of
rage...but if you say something in a calm manner...and BTW I am Bubble's
number fan as well...what they are comparing here to Aleks is their voices
not of wot they are today...obviously you know who's better when it comes
to their whereabouts today...I think you are not listening
And by the way, I know Foster discovered him, but STILL, he released his
first ep when he was twenty, and ACTUALLY if you search "Michael Bublé @
21" on youtube, you'll find and interview he did when he was 21. Moreover,
if you're a "huge bublé fan" you should know that at the age of 17\18 he
won a singing contest, and he performed in clubs. Who is the idiot? I'm
even more mad at the people who thumbed up your comment. You made a fool of
yourself.
So hugely hot, Sweet Jesus. Aleks is one of my favorites, and by that I
mean I'd easily have a big crush on him if I knew him by person. He's an
amazing singer, he's handsome, and he seems to be an amazing person. Poor
thing he's still doesn't know how incredible he is. Wish I was the girl
with the double bass on this performance. haha
He's incredibly good! But to be honest, I don't think he's as good as bublé
( btw the age comment really doesn't make sense since he started recording
when he was 20, and started performing when he was like 17). Anyway,
there's no need to compare the two and this was a perfect performance
I've always (and still do) believed Mama Cass to have done the best
version, but, I'm ranking Aleks up there with Michael's (whom I love and
adore with all of my heart). I didn't think this would fit him at all, but,
oh my gosh! I'm seriously loving how well he did.
perhaps the WORDS that I was referring, you just defined not the way I
meant...I used its literal meaning nothing else...it could be that you were
thinking it was bad? wot I meant was...perhaps he could not thought that
way if he/she was calm
Yeah... I think that comment was very inappropriate of him to say. I love
Josh, but let's be real. There were intonation issues. I do agree that he
has a lot of potential, since he is so young. I just don't agree with the
rest.
funny how people liked your comment, because Bublé recorded his first ep in
1995 and it was called first dance, you idiot. I don't need you to teach me
who Bublé is, or what he did, because i already know.
At the beginning I was like ew Danny (wrinkles, skinny) and then at this
bit when he was coaching Aleks I was like ooh Danny is actually hot and his
IRISH accent just puts me in a trance! :)
Voice is good, his timing in the song is a little off for me, and for a
song like this the vocals are important but the timing of the vocals are
just as important. Well done overall though.
Didn't think a style like this would've suited him at all so I was really
amazed when I saw this last Saturday! Can't wait to see what else he does.
And he's also so cute :) Hahaa.
Seems a bit reserved at the beginning, almost as if he's afraid if he sings
clearer it won't come out well? But he brightens up and kills it. Very good
performance!
I totally know it, and Michael is one of my favorite artists, if not my
favorite. Although I like the show and the judges, I thought the exact same
thing so...

You should check out Mahalia Barnes' performance of this song on
Australia's Got Talent... It's simply outstanding! Also, I believe The
Voice UK/USA/Australia etc only have a set amount of songs that they have
the rights to perform. Hence the reason why many songs are performed on
different versions of the voice.
I think the fame could really go to her head, when Holly reads the number
around the end she reminds me of Jill from Scream 4 the way she's looking
at the crowd and camera's.

A fantastic performance, she just made that basement jaxx song completely
her own. Smashed it.!!! This young singer songwriter is a "REAL FIND".
She's got stage presence, and a fantastic tone to her powerful vocal. Tom
Jones is right, she's very similar tone wise to sixties ICON Janis Joplin. I
voted to hear her again.!!! Hope the nation keeps on doing so. She's
destined for big things Mark my words.!
I recon she's more like sofie habbibis. as in... they both have a bit of a
smokey sounding vocal :) just imo I recon she should have tried for the x
factor instead since the voice as a platform isn't looking to good since
the viewings have dropped to around 6 million viewers, so maybe the winner
will be the only one to get anything from the show maybe
I'm just going to remind all the people on the tube, that have heard Becky
Hill's special VOICE. Remember to pick up the phone and VOTE.!,on Saturday
night. I think she'll surprise everyone, with a great live performance. Put
her in the semi final, with that voice she deserves to be there.
Actually in love with her voice 3 She reminds me of Avril Lavigne!? Noy
sure if its the clothes or hair or cheekiness.. Whatever it is i love it
cause Avril is my idol.. And Becky is now a close second! Never voted for
xfactor, bgt, big brother... Anything! But im voting now! 3
First off, props to the band and the backing vocalists, nice arrangement,
nicely played. Secondly, and most importantly, Becky smashed that. Loved
it. 3:00 - 3:03 does something to me. I want to hear a lot more from her.
As the track says, becky. "I Think You're The Real Deal Honey". Amazing,i
would pay good money to hear you live in concert. No sweat, and i've seen a
hell of a lot of em.!!!
Sorry TreasureOne, A slight inacuracy. (blush) I'm only human. But christ
she didn't half stamp on that song. Better than the original in my view. I
could rewrite it.?
They do get recognition! Every week at the end of the show they say thank
you to the band. I agree, they should get more recognition than they get
though. :)
Don't forget to VOTE for Becky Hill or you won't see her after she performs
again in two weeks in the semi finals.!!!!!! For me Becky HIll is the
"VOICE".!
TJ did not say she's similar tone wise to JJ! He said she has a similar
fire and spirit. Becky's tone is much finer than JJ's, though she has
trashed it.
