I would add a weight something like a brick .i think it helps it along a bit. I have some cooking in a black bin, I added water to it last year, but this year I'm doing it same way as you. Already it's got the thick black sap in the bottom of the barrel ! The plants just love it. I put 72 Larson of the stuff on the allotment about 6weeks ago! All the best till next time!

Hello Joan, I was given a small amount of comfrey and I need to strain it into a container, I added water at the start so I presume I need to take this into account. Thanks for sharing your latest video.

What variety of strawberries are they/would you recommend? I bought a plant from b n q but it wasn't very good and even though ive got some extra plants from runners, I think ill try another variety next year. I too pulled a couple of carrots today but they didn't have a patch on yours for sure but ill put the video up to showcase my failures too haha. in my defence they were out of a 11litre pot, I wanted to pull a parsnip but didnt know I could, thought I HAD to wait for the frost. oops
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2JY9Ui1pjjQ/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAACg/T68b6rKXlgM/photo.jpg?sz=64
+DrOfWelshMagic My strawberry's are from b & q I paid 50p for 3 dying plants & with a bit of tlc have done really well. I don't know the exact name of the variety, i'll try to see if I still have the tag & get back to you.As for your carrots the most important thing (for all veg) is how they taste not what they look like! Were they nice to eat?? carrots can grow really well in pots maybe a bit bigger than 11 ltrs tho : )You DON'T have to wait for a frost for your parsnips they're just sweeter if you do!!Regards Joan
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
Enjoying the videos. Is it OK to take a parsnip this early? I've grown some for the first time and someone told me they have to be frosted to get some flavour. Mine are big enough now, so how was that one you took?
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2JY9Ui1pjjQ/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAACg/T68b6rKXlgM/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Paul Roper Thank Paul, glad to hear your enjoying the vids : )Parsnip are sweeter once a frost has got to them BUT they are still very nice before a frost! The one I pulled in this video I ate for tea that same day & it was delicious!Regards Joan

Fantastic root veg there. How deep is your parsnip bed? Mine never seem to get that long.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2JY9Ui1pjjQ/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAACg/T68b6rKXlgM/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Marina Wilson the parsnip bed is a little over a foot deep the carrot box is 3 feet deep.I'm really pleased with them this year, the best results i've had : )p.s congratulation on winning Nora's competition ; )Regards Joan

Giving tip for any service is "normal" in the US ( I think all over USA) .. 10-15% atleast... Tipping is very BIG in Vegas:

Great vlog, shame about the chicken but it is not worth risking getting sick from eating it if its not cooked properly, can't wait to see some footage from the upcoming show, have a great Thursday :)

+Jon Harrison we will see about video at the show!! For us, its just to kill time. Every year the show is the same vendors mostly. Its like the Vita Mix Blenders & Hot Tubs over & over again. It might be more boring this year with our bad economy??? But I will show the Food Trucks for sure.
