the football programs at South Albany and West Albany are getting started early with a friendly, little competition. Supporters of both schools have the ...
Western Oregon Waste Stagg FL
Finally caught it on video! Saw it driving by my window at work and rushed outside to see it service our OCC container. Please forgive the shakiness at the ...
I haven't been able to, since I've started a new job, I get Sunday and
Mondays off, which means I can hang out with my friends again :) which is
something I haven't been able to do in years. So I'm enjoying that for now,
however, I have seen some good stuff around in some outlying areas of the
greater Los Angeles area, and am cataloging them for future capture. Don't
worry I wont abandon my fans. :)
=] Understand about the new job + wanting to hang out with mates... no
worries. Though great to hear you've spotted some goodies and intend to
catch them when you can... good luck for the findings and will look forward
to 'em!
Oh I was a big fan alright, was very fascinated in the classic models that
used to take care of business years ago. Speaking of classics, are you
planning to be filming any of the oldies that you may have access to?
Zach, you can go ahead and get more videos of this truck, I like it a lot!
One of my favorite chassis/bodies, and engine! Good for you! You and I
should go deuce on it and buy the thing.
If you look in my archives, I have a white Waste Management Recycle truck
with a Volvo WXLL chassis, which is a STAGG FL. That is my best one, but I
do have others...
Ok so I watched the video again to make sure, and yup! This is pretty much
the best truck you've ever captured, so you can definitely go ahead and get
more of it...
A fast one, thats for sure! The one stop where he didnt flip the lid was a miscommunication between us and the driver, he thought we wanted the lids shut for the ...
haha yea, I would absolutely love to see more of these around. Faster,
smoother, reaches further, full sized hopper that doesnt back up every 4
houses.. its better than an Autoreach in every way. But the MFG isnt as
popular.. thus it never took off... pretty sad how that works isnt it? With
Labrie replacement grippers these things are even easier. to use I get the
idea they dont drive with the arm up. haha Every now and then I put random
things in the tags. I am sure you know how that goes. lol
Such a huge.......idk apparatus lol those huge grippers make it fun to
watch. A lot sturdier than Autoreach and its a shame there aren't more
Crocs than Autoreaches in this country. They seem easier to control that is
for sure. Cool how this driver is one of the few that he knows who actually
favors what he has, he's hard on the accelerator between stops and that is
good too. I wonder if they drive these with the arm up, it sticks out quite
a ways lol @ tags...TOTER!
oh dang! Nice catch Mike! It's even a leach! First truck I've seen with an
Allied Waste company instead of a Republic Company lol. Wonder why it would
say Dallas even though this is Oregon lol. Anyway, this truck is sure fast!
Glad some drivers are willing to operate a crocodile properly lol. He sure
had a hard time trying to keep the lid closed on that one bin. So this was
recycling? Great looking truck. Any idea what color Dallas's old color was?
Damn good work Mike. Reminds me of when ABQ had Corcodlie arms on their
trucks.Very strange to see this truck not fully branded AW or Republic. One
of the good Autocars :D. Well this is going to be faved sense it brings
back alot of memories :D
i dont think ive ever seen a company ran by Allied Waste have its original
name but under AW colors. A Allied Waste paint scheme truck but different
company name in other words. Is this in oregon??
This one doesn't look too bad to be stuck driving as far as Crocodiles go.
Still just as fun to watch as any other Croc though, looks great on the
Autocar with the older grille. Great vid!
yea, this one is pretty smooth too considering the others Ive seen. And
they dont hold anything back here, full speed cycles as it should be :D I
agree, these look great. Thanks!
It seems almost all of the original grippers are extinct. Maybe they
breakdown over time. The Leach Crocodile in my area has had it's grippers
replaced with Labrie grippers.
I've always liked the wittke croc's myself. It's something about their
oversized grippers, sad that they're now extinct. Well, at least we still
have the Pendpac Alleygator.
Mike, awesome job!!! I'm so glad to see another Leach Crocodile on YouTube.
It's much faster than the one in my area. Easily liked and added to my
favorites!!!!
If you have a way to get there, go to the WM yard in El Cajon. Their
automated fleet is about 75% Wittke Crocodiles still. They are everywhere
out there.
This one is pretty neat for its rarity on the West Coast. A Mack MR on an automated truck out here is unheard of. This truck also likes to shoot dirt, dust and other ...
This arm is a bit weaker looking and definitely more worn down at the hinge
points so it wobbles and bumps the body when lifting sometimes. No, the
Autocar starr was lame lol itll be there for another 5 years I am sure. The
Pete and this Mack might be gone by the end of the year according to the
drivers. Most of the Volvos are gone already too. This yard has just
starrs, crocodiles and autoreaches. We didnt film an autoreach for obvious
reasons. One crocodile has a pendcrap arm on it though.
It sure appears to have come from AZ. Good chance since all the trucks in
this yard are mixed and matched from different places. And the fact that
this yard loves their Starrs. In fact, they are buying new ones here too
which is neat. Slow grippers are one of the things I hate most about
certain trucks haha this truck included. I like when grippers sling shut
the most
idk. no one buys them. Everyone and their brother buys Peterbilt up there
in Oregon now. Even Allied and WM are on with Peterbilt now. Down here its
Autocar or Peterbilt. In the past it was primarily WHITE/Whitegmc/volvo and
a bunch of other smaller chassis manufacturers. West Coast haulers dont
share the same love for Mack as the Eastern haulers do lol
lol the dirt from this one isnt from whats being dumped in the hopper
though, the exhaust is routed down under the chassis and it blows all the
dirt and shit from the street right up onto the curb where I am standing
lol yea.. its a strange street name, but I'll never forget where I filmed
it because of that haha
listen to that sound on this truck! reminds me of a plane powering up haha
loved the shot at 1:22 3:34 had that happen to me several times haha
especially when a truck dumps a full bin of dead grass etc that street name
is weird "I live on Goodnight." wouldve never noticed if it wasnt pointed
out haha cool post
Good old heil arm, shaky and entertaining as always! Then the snake-like
trailer, as I always thought haha MC#### is that ex-Maricopa county Arizona
numbering?? For some reason, its cool to me how the grippers close slowly,
but the rest of the arm's functions seem quicker. Wonder if that's just
me..Great work
haha you were right about the rocking lol. This arm seems kind of weak
compared to the other starrs. Was this Starr from another company? Nice
shot at 1:33. Did you guys chase after that first Heil Starr? Sad to see a
Republic bin at 3:37. Does this yard run anything other than Starrs and
that Crocodile?
Nice footage man. Loved the Xpeditor Heil Starr drive by shot. AW up their
knows how to take care of their shit thats for sure We have a few MR Starrs
up here as well.
how many other videos of rare BNSF power do you have on film from various
locations? any action on BNSf s old St.croix sub would be cool if you have
any old footage of it.
