Other cards that support this: Nahiri, THE HARBRINGER. Daring Sleuth is
also investigating this corruption. Grotesque Mutation shows what happens
when it corrupts a person, Emerakul is known for corrupting that plan and
its inhabitants indirectly. Also, Drownyard temple and Warped landscape
produce wastes. (Please let me know if there's others) What do we know
wastes are connected to? Eldrazi. Also, as mentioned in this video, on
Structural Distortion Nahiri says she wants Innistrad to suffer as Zendikar
did. WoTC are throwing us some loose ends though, so even this theory isn't
certain. The main 'loose end' is Root Out, which has a clear Phyrexian
symbol in the art.
Also (just found this out) practically every vampire in Incorrigible Youths has some sort of weird mutation, be it extra fingers, eyes, faces and even one small tentacle, like on Paranoid Parish-Blade.
You forgot one thing, the flavor text on all 6 of the "clue" tokens. The
first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth word on their flavor texts
writes out this sentence "Remember this, they came as three." That sound
familiar? It was the flavor text on the card "Ugin's Insight" where Ugin
spoke to Sarkhan on the subject of the Eldrazi reawakening on Zendikar. The
three he was referring to being the three Titans Emrakul, Ulamog, and
Kozilek.
That to me is some kind of warning on the clue tokens that Emrakul is
coming. And God am I ready for it.
+Patrick Enger I think it makes an interesting crossover, I mean, I'm fairly new to the game, but I presume the multiverse's inhabitants don't really see anything out of their world (I'm surely wrong, I'm still learning the lore), Innistrad and their spirits, Tarkir and the dragons, Ranvica and the guilds, Zendikar and the eldrazi. Has something that comes from another plane (besides the planeswalkers) ever affected directly on the local plane?
+synthetic legion I am not sure why I wrote this. I might have been saying "what about the new innistrad thing referring to the spoiler that seems to show the Marit Lage
Seems like a lot of people want it to be Emrakul.... but in the end lets
look at goals.
Eldrazi are hunger incarnate. Everything they do goes to further their goal
of consuming. Corrupting other creatures to help them, making people lose
hope so they don't fight destroying minds etc all so they can feed. Their
is no morality or emotion just hunger. But whatever is at work seems
clearly malevolent or at the very least destruction and killing for it's
own sake.
As far as the points made... they can be summed up in hey red/purplish
root/tentacles. Going from there to Emrakul seems a tad bit of a stretch.
I'm guessing Nahiri is trying to summon a destructive extra-planar entity.
But perhaps doesn't think she can entice Emrakul since it was oldwalker
Sorin that did so last time and when they were discussing which world to
bring the Eldrazi Sorin said his would be unsuitable. Or maybe already
tried and failed who knows. But which one did she end up going for?
So let's look at Drownyard Temple. It looks like a portal made from
cryptoliths and Jace says all of them lead there. Look at Engulf the shores
and you see a really big non eldrazi tentacle beast. The set name Shadows
over Innistrad seems like a deliberate nod to Shadow over Innsmouth a
lovecraftian story of creatures from the sea involving investigating what
happened.
Turns out there is a lovecraftian inspired ancient evil extra-planar entity
with tons of tentacles associated with the ocean... should also note that
the only thing keeping said horror out of the story and wrecking stuff is
it was imprisoned long along. And imprisoning/binding magic is Nahiri's
specialty.
Yeah they retconned a lot of recent stuff. Like Nissa was waaaay different before. Makes it somewhat hard to keep track of what is what sometimes. But the Lithomancer being more recent does I suppose make it the current cannon so that lends credence that Nahiri could lure Eldrazi... though whether she can do it without Ugins plans and knowledge of leylines or on a less mana rich world is up for grabs
+Sean Nissen Actually, it was Ugin's design, but Nahiri's Hedrons that initially lured the Eldrazi to Zendikar in the first place.//magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/ur/lithomancer-2014-10-29
Seiben, your video is interesting, but I do take exception with your combo
idea with Avacyn. Her ability is when a non-Angel creature you control
dies, she transforms. Avacyn herself is an angel, so if you play a 2nd copy
of her, she is still an angel and will NOT trigger the transformation.
Honestly, I see a sack engine/blink design being built around her to abuse
her abilities and having her transform. A lot. Which is cool.
Sorry to correct you but when you said it, it left me going, huh? Thanks
for your videos though.
No, you transform Avacyn, before damage is dealt, play another Avacyn, which then means you have two different Avacyns. Kill off another human, and then transform the other Avacyn, sacrificing the other, for a total of 6 damage to the player and all their creatures, while yours are still on the field if it happens on the same turn, except the one you sacrifice.
personally I love her but she does come with some issues. she doesn't have a great way to defend herself, although the -2 is awesome, it's conditional.
+Xavier H This is really the more guaranteed way to prevent yourself from Avacyn's burn. Note, you won't be able to flip Avacyn on YOUR same turn that you played her because she doesn't flip until the next upkeep, but that does include your opponent's upkeep, and therefore she'd flip while your creatures still have indestructible.I'm still not sure if the Avacyn combo mentioned in this video is legal, but unless you really need her to have Vigilance for a couple turns, the method +Xavier H describes is a better utilization of her abilities.
+CADE PLAISANCE I disagree with his stance on the new Avacyn. I think it's pretty junk. Certainly not going out of my way to get it or replace my old Avacyn with it. Don't think I want it in any of my EDH decks, honestly. There are just cheaper ways of doing mass damage.
no feelings hurt mate! that's fine, there's plenty of lore to come.
Top 10: Sexiest Magic: The Gathering Cards
Seibenlore takes a look at some of the sexiest card arts to be printed in magic. Come with me fellow Planeswalkers as travel to the plane of love for Valentine's ...
This is honestly the most disgusting thing I've seen come out of the Magic:
The Gathering community. Magic is a card game with a rich lore background
that is made to appease several audiences, but saying a character is sexy
is crossing a line. Sure, maybe you think some of the characters are
attractive and that's understandable, but much like doing so with people in
real life, rating the characters on a list about how "sexy they are" is
absolutely disgusting.
1:02 "But when the night falls, she turns into a complete animal."
While yes, this could be referring to the fact that Chosen of Markov is a
vampire, due to the context that's she's on a list rating cards on how sexy
they are, this is sick.
I don't know where your thought process was in the making of this video,
whether it was to appease towards the more primal thinking and disturbed
viewers out there, or that you honestly think rating a person on their
sexual attraction is something a decent human being can do. Either way,
this is disgusting.
Although you did place a few male characters on this list, such as Sorin
(Which is understandable, he is a quite conventionally attractive man),
nearly all of the characters represented here on this list are female, or
have the biological body of a female. Women are not sex objects, nor should
they be sexualized, and this is the general problem in our society today
for why there isn't equal rights or respect between men and women. The
women depicted here are either showing off their breasts and or behind, or
lacking clothing in some case, which does not inherently warrant being
"sexy", so much as it does being somewhat nsfw.
I understand that this video was posted as a Valentine's Day video, but in
future, try to maybe do something relating towards Valentine's day, such as
the lore of a couple in the lore of mtg, instead of something so
misogynistic and degrading towards women as "Top 10: Sexiest Magic: The
Gathering Cards"
+Milo wartooth Humanity would still exist without that sexist mindset, because reproduction would still occur. Other species that don't have concepts of stuff such as gender still find suitable mates and reproduce, and so would us humans. You say this list is celebrating the attractiveness of fictional characters, which in a sense it is but celebrating how attractive a group of people are is much different than ranking them from 1-10, and if this list were all male I still wouldn't be okay with it, as it's still the same concept of ranking and rating people based on their "sexual attractiveness", whether or not these people are fictional or real (in this case fictional), doesn't change the fact that it's degrading. If it were a list celebrating the "beauty of the cards" would he not have instead been paying attention to the fantastic artwork, rather than in most cases the female bodies that often appear with voluptuous curves?
+Dextrus What you don't understand is that this "sexist mindset" Is the reason why you even exist today. Without that "sexist mindset" Humans wouldn't have given a shit about reproduction. So don't say "Society" created that mindset when it's been with human beings since the start. All this list is doing is celebrating the attractiveness of FICTIONAL CARDS. What I meant when I said you would have a list of most attractive people was that weather you like it or not you would because you would be interested romantically/sexually in people against your will. So don't call people Disgusting for something you know nothing about. Not to sound rude but just don't judge them for something that's minor and they can't helpAnd on your point on the inequality of men and women correct me if I'm wrong but it SOUNDS like you would be fine if the list was 100% men and if thats true than you believe in a double standard that over sexualizing men is fine but when done to women it's not making YOU the sexist one. Not saying you are but just ask yourself that. And although I agree that I would rather have seen a more sweeter video who the hell are you to tell him what he should and should not make. You seem to think that viewing someone in a sexual way is a bad thing, It's not "degrading" to the FICTIONAL CARDS but rather celebrating the beauty of the cards. Just because he's talking about the cards in a sexual way doesn't mean degrading them, he's simply admiring the cards beauty. So stop drinking the tumbler cool aid and just let it go.
+Milo wartooth I for one am asexual, and if I weren't I highly doubt I would create a list ranking characters based on which are sexiest, and the only reason you can rationally say that this list was perfectly normal is because of the society in which we live, where women are already highly sexualised just because of their anatomy. Where this list was not intended to be offensive, it doesn't change the fact that the topic does nothing but further the over-sexualisation and inequality of men and women in our modern day society. Seibenlore could have easily made a video more attuned to the sweeter or more romantic aspects of Valentine's Day or Mtg, but instead chose to produce something that while not intending to be degrading, was.
+Dextrus But you yourself admitted that Sorin is an attractive guy. There is nothing wrong with celebrating the attractiveness of a person or character. I know your problem is that the characters are being rated on their sexiness but the whole video is subjective. This is just his personal top ten sexy magic the gathering cards. Like it or not you also have a top sexy magic the gathering cards list just you haven't shared with the world. Unless your Asexual everyone has a top ten like this they just haven't shared it yet. So can we just get off our high chairs and try not to be better than anyone else. We all have these primal urges, it';s not some sexiest ideology that was made to oppress women, it's perfectly normal and not "absolutely disgusting." If you were to make a top ten list of sexiest magic cards no rational person would judge you for it and call you sexist and absolutely disgusting.

(But I would also like to see something more romantic next valentines day)
+Milo wartooth While yes nobody's view on women is going to change from watching this, it doesn't change the fact that the concept of this video itself is toxic, taking characters that aren't sexualized in the slightest and rating them to see which is "sexiest"
+Dextrus How is making a top 10 like this harmful in any way? No ones going to watch this video and suddenly treat and view women like objects. By making this video he's not saying that women are objects to be sexualized for the pleasure of men. It's just for fun, and it doesn't matter.
+Dextrus Not to be disrespectful if it came off that way as you are a large pillar in our community and do provide quality videos 99.9% of the time, which help to educate people on the backstory of the card game they enjoy. This is a topic that really gets me going, so I tried to be civil and not drop to the level of some random internet hater that doesn't understand the concept of grammar.
