+Larry Panozzo There is another avenue for education called 'on-the-job' training.  Employers pay for it and it is usually taught by the college educated or those that have attained a certain skill level.  The only negative is that 'on-the-job' training is not recognized as educational credit for the purpose of acquiring a degree. 

+Adam KhanActually, I rent and saw the whole documentary, and the film says universities have been raising the tuitions due to cuts in state fundings, causing student to borrow more loans. Part of the blame should be on the students b/c they should select majors w/ great job outlooks. Majors such as psychology, philosophy, geography, religious studies, political science, and so on have a poor job prospect, especially for those w/ a bachelor's degree. In other words, students should do the research on their field of studies and think about the risks before taking out loans. You can't just point the finger at those expensive colleges and universities. People do have options. Those schools do not force them to be on campus in the first place.

You are missing the whole point, Roy.  Should someone have to pay $200K for that engineering degree?  Of course not!Look at that graph at the 30 second mark and explain how that makes any sense.
