Hi we are having so much fun and they just love the vegetarian food. So please come down and taste the amazing food at 125th & Lexington Ave on Tuesdays ...
@HomleandSecurity Hello, I am an unemployed Army veteran, I have a B.S. in
business, an M.B.A. and I am working towards a Doctorate in Business. I AM
NOT LAZY! I search EVERYDAY for a job and wouldn't dare turn my nose up at
ANYONE because unless YOU have a trust fund you might one day be at the
mercy of a soup kitchen. Homeland Security my ass! I respect your right to
your opinion just be thankful to people like me who make it possible for
you to have the freedom to speak your mind. GOD bless!!
The government needs to shut down all these socialist soup kitchens now. If
people want to eat they can work for it. Why should our taxes be paying for
their lazy asses to stay home all day, smoking weed and playing XBox while
masturbating to gay Asian porn and calling Planned Parenthood to book
another abortion next week? Get a job, people! Food isn't supposed to be
free, you have to work for it. If America doesn't get rid of these Satanic
soup kitchens soon we will become a Soviet state.
@golfguyuk Its like you giving a gift to someone only to have that gift
sold to another person, why ? Because they said they wanted cash instead.
Thats insulting to the person that bought the gift and the person that sold
it as well. Thats pretty much saying " Im too good for your gift and Id
rather take money". Granted you could do more things with money than the
gift you received, but its the thought that counts. Im Pretty sure those
that had the chance to try it for free would be fine
And that's why, if you were poor all of your life, then you would STAY poor
all your life. It's a really good policy for people, who can't even afford
to eat, to disregard saving and lavish themselves with unnecessary things
just for the "experience." What I find even more hilarious, the same people
who think it is fine for the soup kitchen/poor people to spend
irresponsibly will argue that the rich (the ones who do save) shouldn't be
spending their money, and instead should donate it.
@Bored339649 not sure what a jackwagon is. I am not belittling donations.
Donations are always great. It is the idea of people consuming caviar when
it doesn't mean anything to them. The soup kitchen should have sold the
caviar to another shop and taken the money to buy proper healthy food.
Given the choice would a homeless person rather have $500 of caviar (one
very small glass jar) or $500 worth of meat (two very big cows? maybe).
Does that help you understand the point I am making.
This is sad... $1,100 could have purchased much more food! Hungry people
need more than a bite of fish egg. Maybe they were just to greedy to give
up the money instead of the caviar. I understand it was about the
experience BUT what happens AFTER the experience, will they get more
caviar??? NO, they will still be homeless and hungry reminds me of Marie
Antonette "Let them eat cake" but in this case caviar. Really, really,
really sad!
wtf??? im all for giving people something to eat and whatever but seriously
americans dont know how to eat!!!! why would you ruin the creamy amazing
caviar with egg yolks, whites, etc... seriously the days the americans can
find something flavourfull without it being covered in cream, garlic or
onions...well ill just take it as a message for the end of the world!! PS
people who disagree are either american or ignorant about food
After working around people who smoked crack in our workplace( our
bathrooms) and seeing them fistfight and drink on the premises as well as
take five or ten desserts from trays when you weren't looking I just about
punched one ( having a bad day at the office I suppose) , I have also seen
them corner a high school girl one day ( she cried and ofcourse never came
back) I don't miss the job, except for a few people
My grandma was poor ( great lady) , there's good poor people and I worked
for them. There are ALSO idiots who committed crimes and stole food and
made sexual advances at volunteers, ALOT are drug addicts mentally ill and
alcoholics who disrespect everyone ( they make up a good amount) I stopped
working for the homeless, after ALOT of bad incidents and I became angry to
much ( and eventually asked to quit)
@golfguyuk It's surpassingly rude to sell a gift, and the reporter even
addressed that matter towards the end... It wasn't the idea of having a lot
of food, it was the experience of feeling luxurious for the first time in
their miserable lives. I don't know about you, but if I had been poor all
of my life, I'd certainly prefer a nice caviar blini over two or so cheap
sandwiches.
@golfguyuk if the person wanted the soup kitchen to have money they would
have donated money rather than caviar. Its like well, "O here is a cow, we
could have just given you beef instead, but we will give you a cow instead
and you have to kill it." It the thought that counts you jackwagon,
Wow! I feel so bad for homeless people. If I were ever lucky enough to win
millions from the lottery, I can honestly say I would put a lot of that
towards helping out homeless people. I just wish I was Bill Gates. $5
billion would go straight to feeding the homeless.
How awesome! I know the $1100.00 could have been used to buy more food, but
still, sometimes it's things like this that make us feel human again,
enjoying a few of life's pleasures. I think it was very kind, and I am glad
that the people enjoyed it!
Even though it would be logical for the soup kitchen to have sold the
caviar, but the experience I think is more important in life. Money comes
and goes, but these experiences only happen rarely.
@chafenhimer Yeah, Reagan would tear the soup kitchens down with his bare
hands just like he tore down the Berlin Wall. If you're not rich in America
you only have one person to blame: yourself!
the chef slipped the caviar everywhere. Everybit counts! They should have
bloody sold the caviar to someone who liked it and used the $1100 to buy
allota food for everyone!! what a waste.
The bums sell thier food stamps for drugs and then go to soup kitchens. If
they had a system with the food stamps where you could only go too one
store all the bums would be screwed!!
@tracyrscott You did nothing to protect my freedom. I fought for it myself.
Army? Aren't Ready for Marines Yet. I'm a vet, I have a job and I'm rich.
You only have yourself to blame.
@TheSwagfulIndian Your parents knew what is was like to be poor, but not
you. Seems you are a suitable candidate to become the next generation of
fat bumpy dukes in America.
No wonder the homeless people in America are so fat~ Fat bumpy Americans
simply dunno nothing about what poverty really is unless they were living
in India or China.
If anything it was good for the little girl. "Grandma said
this.......Children are treasures. The greatest sin in this world is to
damage those treasures."
It's not about selling the caviar for a larger quantity of food, those
people are given the same old food everyday. The expirience was probably
worth it.
I never said that.. I know some pretty rick black people, just this
particular one didn't look like they could afford it.
