Augsburg College softball Jessa Hinz tries to confuse the umpires
After being forced out at second base, Jessa Hinz tried to pull the wool over the eyes of the umpire by running to third base and standing there. Hilarity ensues ...
These umpires have NO control. They need to get the bum off the field and
continue the damn game. They have no real understanding of what appears to
have gone on. NOTHING in baseball between umpires and a manager should
take so long...nothing.
Little Umpire makes his debut at Catawba College. Many thanks to all the fans that cheered for him and took pictures. Thank you to Jason Hill and the On Deck ...
+ConkeyCrack I would hardly call that "too friendly." He's developing a respectful relationship, that's all. Tone was just about perfect, in my opinion.
Umpire Ejects Daytona Cubs Music Man Derek Dye
In Daytona's 2-1 win over Fort Myers on August 1st, the home plate umpire ejected the Cubs "music guy" for playing a non-lyrical version of "Three Blind Mice," ...
+Nicholas Northcott The ump can eject people from the playing field... Which is why he can eject spectators or other people from the playing field who are not authorized to be on the playing field. He can't kick people out of the stadium.
+Steve Thomas (e) Each umpire has authority at his discretion to eject from the playing field (1) any person whose duties permit his presence on the field, such as ground crew members, ushers, photographers, newsmen, broadcasting crew members, etc., and (2) any spectator or other person not authorized to be on the playing field.
+Crooked Spine one more thing he absolutely is allowed to have a fan ejected if he feels threatened by them he can call over a team official and have the fan removed. Let's say for example Spine that a fan yells "I'm gonna fucking kill you ump and throws something at him" now most of the time ushers would eject the fan there anyway but If they don't the umpire can absolutely require that fan be removed before the game continues. Also fans are different then PA announcers and team officials. They are to remain neutral during the game that's their job. "Make better calls or don't be an ump" doesn't apply here. Now again speaking as an umpire would i have ejected the guy playing 3 blind mice maybe maybe not depends on the whole situation we don't know what happened before this. I might've just laughed it off but the umpire absolutely has the right to toss them if he wants. Look it up its in the rules. Hope that helps.
+Crooked Spine read the rulebook my friend the umpire has the right to eject anyone he sees fit. When the umpire steps on the field for the game he has complete authority and control over the game and its surroundings. "It's the minor leagues bro" isn't a relevant statement unfortunately. I understand why you'd say that and as former minor league ump myself trust me l ran into many PA announcers and others etc that are idiots and take things too far. Most of the time you let it go but there are extreme examples where you have to take action. The rules allow for an umpire to eject a PAAnnouncer or in this case the organist.
Why? He's not there to be a poster and can't just allow a PA announcer to shit on an umpire like that. And he has the right to eject anyone from the game if he feels necessary. That includes mascots, pa announcers etc. cry baby isn't the issue its about setting a presence that your not going to allow yourself to be treated a certain way.
