+norsksailor68 It's not a gigantic city and the downtown area is still semi-ghetto. The neighboring hoods are pretty ghetto... On the upside, the downtown is polishing up and lots of cool loft apartments and new businesses are moving in to shape it up.

+Riding JapanI only go helmet-only back in Ohio because the traffic isn't nearly as bad and the risk is pretty low compared to California. I rode for eight years without a helmet when I was in my late teens and early 20s back in Ohio. The only close calls I had back then were with deer. Having ridden since I was four years old, I've developed a pretty good 'spidey sense' for danger in traffic. If the weather is looking sketchy or I'm not feeling quite right, I just don't ride. Better safe than splattered.In California, I go all gear all the time. Except on really short trips to work when I might wear regular shoes half the time.

+MotoErgoSum you area bring completely unsafe without proper gear.but that and having a cop pull you over area 2 different things xDI might cringe setting you ride without gloves but don't worry won't give you shit for it (this time)

+Riding Japan The first time I got pulled over on my Diavel was the first time I didn't wear my leather jacket and gloves. I was in a hoodie and had my helmet on. Cop tagged me for a supposed rolling stop, checked over my info, and let me go with a warning.Some people over here consider bikers 'organ donors' and nothing more. If you're not completely leathered-up they think you're being unsafe.

I like the WW2 fighters. I won't personally even get on an airplane unless I'm flying it and working on it personally (neither of which I actually know how to do) because I only believe in Murphy's Law. Love airshows and the subject in general though.
