this makes no sense, it will never happen, the reason why the ten
commandments are there is because the law system of the United states is
based on the bible and its principles. That's why you cannot compare one
thing with the other.

+Marcos Barranco You're making things up. The basis for the laws is the Constitution which has no reference to either Christianity, Judaism, the Bible, Torah, your god or any god. In that sense, it's entirely atheistic and that is the reason why it is so important for civilization.Laws that prohibit stealing and killing preceded your book of myths by thousands of years. To think it's the bible that first introduced these laws is ridiculous.

No, the laws are not based on the ten commandment nor the bible. One can blaspheme and commit adultery unpunished. On the other hand, one cannot own slaves, punish rape by forcing the rapist to marry the victim or stone disobedient children or unfaithful wives, which the bible allows.
