I agree with you to a certain extent on not finding excuses for being bad,
being a teenager, growing up with your peers from different races,
struggling to succeed in education with them, and reality strikes. With
results as good or in some cases better than others, yet you are shunned.
You will only understand the feeling of disappointment, when you undergo
what some of these 'shunned ppl' go through. Everyone have their problem i
agree, but I saw how many of my Indian friends slowly lose out.
at the start of life , surely small discrimination or dissing will happen
but as we keep moving on , life pays of ! ! good things will happen if we
keep our will strong ! so what if they want chinese or malays ? how many
big firms still hire you if ur english is excellent . MATTER OF FACT , IF
COUNTING BY PERCENTAGE , INDIANS ARE CONSIDERED THE BEST CAUSE WITH A
POPULATION OF ONLY 2 MILLION , WE HAVE THE BEST DOCTORS AND LAWYERS AND
SOON TO BE ENGINEERS ! something to ponder on dont stereotype
OK FIRSTly , u gotta understand its never about being indian or things
liddat ..its about the population number. malays = 20 mill , chinese = 6
million and indian = 2 million . In life where majority counts , indians
are at the losing point . IF the population of indians were around 6
million , we can control the economy and at that time , wen most bosses are
indians , we will want more indian workers and hence help our own kind like
the other races do. imagine the orang asli (5 million)
Whr 2 begin ? Scored 12 A1's in SPM. My dream of becoming doctor rejected
not once, not twice but 5 times. Yes, 5 times. Even Tamil media wrote a
cover story about me. Took a diploma in admin cost me RM 10000. Working at
a factory for RM 1100. I am 24 with 3 siblings behind me with lots of
dreams. Buying Jackpot lottery, hoping to build a university where any
students can study regardless of their race. Pls judge people by their
talents not by their color. - SHIVA NATHAN FROM MALAYSIA-
Good storyline. I guess many have gone thru life like tis story but no
offence it is not the full reality but a perceived one. my wife didn't
think she'll get a job as legal manager in a PB listed Comp as she thot
she's a woman and Indian . I told her that's bullshit in her head . Seek
and ye shall find. Know what she got the job and what the CEO also Indian!
When u nickpick on discrimination u'll find it. But that's not the full
picture. So Bro go and conquer the world.
Wow. Very well done. From what I gathered from this movie was a man
struggling to do the right thing in the face of adversity and financial
odds. In an instance he gets wrongfully and violently accused of being a
thief and therefore decides and embraces his fate in becoming a theif and a
successful one at that. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to survive
and in some instances, if you can't beat em, join em. well done Sir.
shakater where do you guys get such great actors. Hope u guys make a Tamil
blockbuster. and conquer not just Msia but Madraswood! Herein lies the
discrimination, govt Finas wont giv u money cause picture not in BM.
Commercial world wont giv u bcuz they wont take risk on ur projects. But
keep going. " All powers are within You, You can do anything and
everything" Swm Vivekananda.
Don't be ridiculous. I'm Tamil -- an Indian Tamil -- who takes no offense
to a group of individuals taking pride in their past/legacy. The Bumiputera
should, like every other Malaysian group, take pride in their origins, as
well as their place in Malaysian society. A side note: "Bumiputera" is
derived from the Sanskrit compound word "Bhumiputra", a detail I find
rather amusing.
Everyone who watch this short film must understand that there is just one
race which really matters which is The Human Race, as a citizen of a
multi-racial country we have to be proud to call ourselves Malaysians
first. Thanks for the support, the team which made this film is not in
anyway racists. We want to seriously see 1Malaysia come true. Let's make
that happen.
Establishment shots are excellent, but might have given fast cuts in
several areas. I am not complaining, it would have made the film sharp
further. Acting is good. Camera and lighting work is also good. Good
concept too man. Very good film to watch. Which Software you used for
editing, did you use any special lens for camera work.
Hi morbicious, In my opinion I think it is wrong blaming racism for the
fact that you and your family have forgotten Tamil. It has nothing to do
with anything but a person's own choice. Even if someone stays in China or
Argentina, he or she can still speak their native language if so they
desired. Just an opinion, no offence.
My dad was from an English school, my sisters were from English schools
too, and I came from a Mandarin medium school. Guess what, all of us speak
fluent Tamil. All of us can speak English Malay fluently, I can speak
Mandarin and a few dialects. Most importantly, I can speak my mother
tongue, Tamil. Hope you get my point here
i'm a Malaysian, n I'm a malay, i'm the majority part of this country, but
i'm totally on your side. i hate to be hired or selected bcuz i'm a malay,
bcuz i cant compete with you guys with full of equality. thus i couldnt
know the true strength of myself if i had been given a pity to win just
bcuz im a malay.
Nice video, hope this video will giving a awareness on a certain community
in Malaysia. but you must know the importance of Bumiputera, Study the
history of Malaysia before independence and after it. That must be a reason
why government create a Bumiputera, BTW this video had teached me a lot,
thanks bro!
Racism depends on numbers. Tamilians are out numbered in malaysia, hence
they suffered so. Think vise versa. Who are they to do? Live the way who
you are. Make the way to feel them bad. I cannot bear any Tamilians who
live the way down. Good work man.. Still can't digest.
bro do add me on fb.... jairex fresco rapero @ [email protected] i hav a
similar idea like tiz....but its not only for indians...but for
MALAYSIAN... i like the way u think.... and i wanna form a crew for this
kind of production... waiting for ur response
Today, this movie was showed at KDU college to students and it was
absolutely M-I-N-D-B-L-O-W-I-N-G! :D I was moved! The story, editing,
camera quality, camera angles, background music is gooood! :D And the
actor trully deserve the best actor award :)
A good potrayal on whats happening. Sad but absolutely true. Kudos for the
newspaper job application and these are the reasons why we have to work
triple times harder than the others. A reality fact living in Malaysia.
Once again, good job guys :)
it's never too late to learn something of your own culture. Let history be
history. The same for so many Chinese bcos it was a case of English all the
way, White Man 's language is better...but it was at the expense of losing
their identity.
On another matter, cool video. I am forwarding this to my friends and
family. Racism is a serious matter in Malaysia and should be looked into
ASAP. Not only are the Indians but the Chinese and other minority races are
also discriminated.
Anyway, don't find any excuse for being bad. Your action will influence how
people look at your race in future. Chinese, Malay and Indians do have
their own problems and this is not the reason for being bad.
Vij, its not the same in Malaysia, India is a true democracy, racism isn't
open and the caste system hasn't been an issue since the 70's. Malaysia
faces open, government funded clear-cut racism.
I'm quite certain, I've been going in and out of India fairly frequently,
the cast system is nearly obliterated. All tat exists are fragments in some
areas and memories in others.
awesome...the moment the protagonist fell to the ground and and still his
eyes were fixed to the camera...fantastic..brilliantly conveyed the
emotion..what a fate for minorities...
Very nice story... Racism in nt only in malaysia but singapore too... Its
not somethin we can change as single ... Lets work together for a better
future ahead... Cheers!!!
you are still getting compliments for a job uploaded more than 2 years ago
- testament to the quality of the video and message. stop racism
everywhere. share this on fb
