Does anyone know if beef or pork liver will catch catfish as well as chicken liver?

+Michael Wells i heard that when the fish are raised in the fisheries, the pellets that they are fed has chicken in it, so they develop a taste for chicken early. ive always had success with chicken livers, especially when you leave them out in the sun for a day.

+Michael Wells I have a feeling that just about any kind of cut meat will work to catch catfish, but whether it works as well as chicken liver, I don't know. Maybe somebody with more experience can chime in.

I use rooster liver. It's more firm than chicken liver and is just as good for cat fishing.

Never heard of using rooster liver - where does a person get some of that (since I'm not in the chicken butchering business)?

Good idea. but check-out Bait Baggies.com I like their #2 mesh baggies for livers I can also use them for all kinds of baits. They're great.
