The operator can close check-in whenever they like - it is not for the passengers to say when check-in closes. Best in future to arrive in plenty of time - baggage has to be loaded - weight and fuel need to be calculated - people need to prepare the flight. Air-traffic slots need to be considered. You chose to buy your ticket on the basis of price - caveat emptor. Two years later easyJet continues to grow.

There's nothing wrong with easyjet its your responsibility to arrive 1:30 to 2:00 before your flight most people who go to Europe Know this. I done my work placement at an easyjet airport and it not like this. It the airports problem and not the airline

In all fairness, why are you rocking up to the airport less than an hour before your flight in the first place? Recommended time is 3 hours for international flights. Seems as if you're just pretty bad at time keeping.
