Not really... the championship was a 3-man run for the title with Menu, Biela and Plato (that was the typical final results at the end of the season). Then it was Reid, Thompson and Rydell with Bintcliffe, Leslie and Tarquini battling for the bottom of the point-scoring positions

on the PS1 game Menu and Plato were always the top 1 and 2 . biela and thompson were the only ones battling for 3rd, kelvin burt was going against cleland battling for 9th l0l

Because it's common in scotland (where the race was held) for surnames to have "mc/mac" in them i.e Mcdonald, mckenzie etc.
