Mexico: Mexicans swap Kalashnikovs for tablet computers
Mexican citizens were given the chance to hand in their weapons anonymously in exchange for cash, food or tablet computers in Mexico City on Wednesday.
So instead of taking the guns from drug cartels they are asking law abiding
citizens to disarm themselves. The citizens should probably keep this guns
and use them against the cartels like the vigilantes.
OK this is really weird, but I had someone contact me telling me that there
would be no summer for the next 3 years..tried to get more info, but he
refused do to security reasons..? Couldn't get anymore info out of him..so
true or not don't know..but putting fruits and vegetables away..but might
be a good idea..I asked him volcano? Nuclear? No response back..if I get
one I will let you know
better than you). You're a sheep in a field, if you get out of the rest of
the group, no problem but if you become a leader and try to get the whole
herd to other lands what's the shepherd's gonna shear? So he'll use dogs
(as in your McCarthy's era) to restore order. But nowadays, the shepherd
was able to teach the sheep that other lands are dangerous and that here is
way better, grass is good and everyone's free. Shepherd's shearing, sheep
won't leave > dogs won't bite > sheep thinks he's free.
@MrGnarus In cases, yes. When taken to extremes. Need to finish that
product to make a deadline, choice in the real world-work 10 hours-make
customer happy or stick to your rules and customer leaves to someone
else-no job. But the more common things are the winning of unrealistic
benefits that bankrupt your company, ie: Detroit auto industry, most
state&local gov'ts. Work rules like not being able to fire those who in the
real world would not last but in a union shop can and drag down everyone.
@bamatecangel7 Your argument is a fallacy as people are not necessarily
attracted to socialism, many seek in life for a way to become richer and
more powerful than their neighbors which can't be achieved in a communist
society. That (american) dream is a very powerful one and is constantly
spread by mass media in capitalist countries such as yours. My point as you
see is that no poor=no rich so in order to be rich you need someone to be
poor. So of course if you dream of wealth, flee Venezuela.
@ittlebite Mexico is indeed very wealthy (11th economy in the world) with
powerful economic potential. But all that wealth is stuck in the upper 5%
of the society and all it's potential is wasted with an inept, narrow
minded and oligarchical leadership combined with massive brain/labor drain
to the United States. Also, many rising entrepreneurs are fleeing to other
countries because the oligarchs make it almost impossible to climb the
social ladder because they control huge government pockets.
@bamatecangel7 Those people I described have that american dream because
the propaganda was so strong they finally wanted that for their lives or as
in Nicaragua people wanted socialism but finally got tired of fighting the
CIA supported "Contras" mercenaries that led a war against the socialist
gov... And finally there's people that want socialism but don't know it, as
their thoughts are deviated from it by propaganda, they want
equality/solidarity but think that communism or unions are evil!
@bamatecangel7 I'm sorry but if you think you're free you're quite wrong
about it, the minute your people (US) tries to turn communist your
government corrupted by the elite's money will do ANYTHING in its power to
stop it, including putting you in gulags and killing the heads of the
movement. The freedom you're talking about is the freedom to be a sheep and
not be a threat to the ruling class that lives on your work (cause unless
you're your own boss, your boss is using your work to live
@bamatecangel7 I'm sorry but Venezuela has reduced is poverty level by 37%
and extreme poverty by something like 50%, and no one's ever hungry in
Cuba, all have education, health etc so having those social models would do
Mexico's people a great favor. Problem is that being so close to the US,
that's gonna be a hard struggle, Mexico already had a socialist revolution,
and the US didn't let that happen...
@sinekonata More like how you prefer to live. Under the thumb of big gov't
controlling every part of your life which grinds you into oblivion and into
a class system of rich&poverty with nothing inbetween. Your
characterization of the US system is typical of those who do not understand
the freedom of freedom. Although the global banksters are near killin' it
-we still have a chance to save it.
@BusterXXXL I had no idea how many people fought so hard to create unions
and how much they have benefited not only employees but also the general
population until I read A People's History. Then I realized that they were
a collective safety net operating largely behind the scene in the interests
of the average person. Take away the unions, and you take away the safety
net of everyday people.
@bamatecangel7 Hey dick, the people that flee those those countrys are the
jerk -offs that had their foot on the neck of the people. They got tossed
from power by the people. Cuba will never return to when a Right Wing
dictator can rule. You no nothing of history. Go back to the radio, you
fool. Beck wants to give another history lession. Tell us- what was the
last book you read?????
@rickbar123 "Big Wankers" by ICU All about internet lefties who can't pass
by a good Soros or union soup line without stoppin in. "Tiny Tots" by
Chavez - How all us learned to take over a country in 5 easy steps with a
forward by Castro. Includes a review of "how to kill off your enemies" by
Che "My Arse Hurts, Please Stop" by rickbar.. a review of low life bars in
Maracay.
@bamatecangel7 Idiot, you'd sacrifice all of us for your hate. Isn't there
a tea party out there you're missing. While we give up our lunch, breaks, 8
hours, the boss is living high on the hog benefiting from the extra sweat
we put in. Talking points, you need an education. One day, if you wake up,
you're going to be ashamed of the things you said.
This is another example that shows that government or statism is the
problem. Doesnt matter which country governments are repressing the people
with taxes they forcibly collect and militia (police and military) to force
the citizens to cow. Resistance is what they fear. There are more sheeple
than elite. Just wake up.
@bamatecangel7 I never read Marx. However, I do study. Your post are
nothing but talking points that get fed to the mindless every day. The 3
stooges are paid by filthy rich CEOs to spoon feed it. Come on, post your
reading list, lets see what you know past Beck's dick??? Pick up a book,
dont be a repeater station.
I can't thank Paul Jay enough for his REAL investigative journalism and
bringing to light so many issues that would have otherwise been out of my
reach. I wish all of our so-called journalists were like him. I get tired
of comedians pretending to ask hard questions when really they're just
skirting the issues.
@agentj001 If Mexico is socialist why do they outsource their poor? I think
like most countries they are an oligarchy. Mexico is one of the richest
countries in the world. But the rich have all the money while they
outsource their poor. If you disagree and respond .... be nice.
@sinekonata I see. I guess the number of people rushing from the US to
Venezuela will soon be a tidal wave then. And all those people who fled
Cuba since Castro will soon be climbing the razor wire fences along the Fla
border to swim back to Cuba. Land of plenty! Riigghhttt...
AndrewMann552, your a genius. To add on that comment, alot of people in
Mexico are thinking the same thing. I was their visiting for 2 months (this
year) and on the streets of Mexico City there are alot of people who
support Chavez, Lula, Morales, etc.
This is lunacy. Capitalists are back to their old game of bread and games
to win votes. Back in ye old rome's time the aristocracy brainwashed the
people with games. now we have mass-media. Thank the non-existant god for
The Real News.
Unions are not universally good or bad. But inefficient work rules brought
on by unions have killed more companies than bad government. And too many
union leaders would like nothing more than a Cuba or Venezuela. No thanks
to that.
@bamatecangel7 You have no chance to save it. Everything you post is from
Beck. You are a repeater station for the 3 stooges. You are a fucking
stooge. "Big Gov Control", shut the fuck up. Name a part of life the Gov
controls???
@NicosNicosNicosNicos I just looked at it again. It's very thorough and
disturbing, on electoral fraud in the election that brought Calderon to
where he is now: /watch?v=9QZrvWuFhJU (in two parts).
@WellIAMScottish That's why authoritarian governments, from Hitler to
Pinochet to the Uribe and Lobo regimes in Colombia and Honduras today,
specifically target trade unionists for assassination.
The people are and will continue to stand up to these plutocrats. This
worldwide struggle will continue until the plutocrats are cast down once
and for all. Long live socialism!
There's a video somewhere of Greg Palast looking into the Mexican elections
that brought Calderon to power, involving the same firms Bush used in 2000,
among other things.
