and also sc didn't have barkley and their best defensive guy, mays, on the
field. and that really hurt them. sc had three turnovers, 2 fumbles and 1
interception. they went 0-10 on 3rd down conversions and a handful of
penalties. craft played well. he didn't forced the ball in the air as much
as he did last year, although he threw a pick but still played solid. how
about that defense? defense played really well in spite of very little rest
time between possessions &committed too many penalties.
nice job breaking it down. how about some love for the kicker, Forbath?
dude is "kicking" ass with that leg. good thing we have a bye week coming
up so our boys can work on their mistakes and for Craft to take more snaps
in practice to better his chemistry/rhythm with the team. i am so happy sc
loss. i wasn't surprise to be honest. i picked U-dub for the upset. sc is
really not that good. they too are in somewhat of a rebuilding process
after losing a lot of players to the nfl draft.
I was there yesterday everyone booed kevin craft when he was ancounced QB
it was funny UCLA PAC TEN champs 4 now and now ucla has the best record in
the pac ten 3-0 the last ime we were 3-0 was in 2005
It really wasn't all his fault. He had no line to protect him, I believe he
was pressured alot after the line kept giving him bad snaps.. (remember
those times he had to dig a low snap?)
Did these guys talk ahead of the press conference, and decide that they
were not going to let it be about how Kansas State almost came back from a
*huge* deficit? That was arguably the most stunning part of this game! It
nearly made history, yet Mora and his players all essentially refused to
talk about it! Not even a, "Whew!"? They were all simply supremely
confident, and trusted their teams, even while they were getting schooled
in the third quarter? We *know* Kansas State was #11. We *know* that means
they're good, and that it's hard to beat good teams. We *know* UCLA won,
without going outside to look at the scoreboard. C'mon Mora. Don't paint
the interviewers like idiots. You showed up to a press conference after
telling everybody to clam up about the most interesting aspect of the game?
They also didn't talk about calling a timeout and then diving at knees and jumping over the pile during a victory formation. Talk about classless. Not to mention old man Snyder acting like he didn't know what happened. Bush league, backyard football garbage play.
+ASNnKC913 The University of California, Los Angeles, is a university -- an academic institution -- not a football program. UCLA should not be burned to the ground.
The mainstream media reported on the tense handshake -- "Bruins Coach Jim Mora met him near midfield and barely shook Snyder's hand" -- yet Mora denied that there was anything there, and then deflected by praising the other coach irrelevantly. They all put duct tape over their mouths, ripped it off, slapped it back on, ...
There are colleges out there that don't deserve to win anything. Then there are colleges out there that don't deserve existance. I've congratulated every team that has beaten us in past bowl games. Even Oregon, who rubbed it in. But this college should be burnt to the fucking ground, and this classless animal deported to Afghanistan. Go read his tweets too.
Except that the question was, "You guys have been resilient, but what still needs to be learned to be able to close out games when you have that kind of lead?"
