George was a perfect lead guitar. No ego. He never played jump out front,
hey look at me, I'm a hot shot. As Paul said "he plays for the song."
George never played leads for personal glory. He played for the feeling of
the song. Not to much, not to little. He cared about the music not himself
or fame! I respect and admire his musical talent, guitar skills, and
intellectual standards as being a human. George was the real deal.

+Guy Azbell I understand what you say here. I was devastated when John was killed. I was 18 and the Beatles had become an everlasting presence in my life. John's death was so unexpected. That event made me cherish the remaining members of the band even more. Especially George because he had been my favorite from the start. When we lost George it was a much deeper loss, emotionally. His music spoke to my soul. Still does.
