I was wounded in Vietnam in 1969. When we went to war in Iraq I wanted to help our returning vets and I got involved with the original Wounded Warriors and help them out at fun raisers etc. I never expected anything from helping them out and felt I had a duty to talk with the wounded vets that were returning with serious wounds. A couple of years helping them out I got a call from the lady who was one of the Wounded Warriors fonder. She told me that Scott Linebrink who was with the Chicago Sox at the time had told her to invite a vet or two to come to batting practice and meet Scott and the other players right on the field and stay for the game as Scott's quest. It ended up that I was the only vet that made it because the others ran in to problems. Scott was just a real nice down to earth guy who was like talking to the next door neighbor. Jake Peavy was another really down to earth guy easy to talk to and super nice.God bless Scott and Jake and thank you so much for such a thrilling time to meet you guys
