Easier way to remove/change a clutch on a Renault Clio without removing the gear box clutch replacement on a Renault Clio made easy When doing it this way ...
It did stick! probably my fault because I left it overnight and gave time
for the glue to cure. Your method didn't work for me so I jacked up one
front wheel (chocks and handbrake) then started it in high gear and it
broke away first time. Worth mentioning that turning the engine with the
coils disconnected will create an engine fault, you'll need a diagnostic
tool to clear the warning light.
+Len Rooks yeah good point on the engine fault I forgot about that although it did not did that for me on the one occasion I had to use that method.. its just a case of doing it in away that suits the individual..but nevertheless it still saves a lot of time and is easier for one person to do this way .. glad you all sorted now..thanks for watching the video
Had my doubts but it works, no hoist, no engine support bar, just jack and
axle stands. Changed clutch and release bearing today (plenty of room to
get hand in for bearing). Will tidy up and test drive tomorrow, but
everything seems to be OK. Just hope the super glue separates from the
pressure plate OK!! Any more bright ideas like this?
Hi glad it all went well for you .. I hope the clutch comes unstuck for you ..I have done this around ten times now and only ever had it stick once so I took the coilpack plug out so the car would not start then put it in gear and took the handbrake off and turned the key so the starter motor pushed the car forward and pumped the clutch pedal a few times and it separateted the clutch
nice seeing you again ..long road since btv..lol you where the best man..i bet you still got them video,s somewhere ..starman would be good right now...
