They did...Lou Scheimer said so in a doc...in fact he even said they even used this commercial to promote the series..to show the T.V. stations an idea of what the show might look like.Heck if you pay attention. That's John Erwin's voice you're hearing as He-Man.The same voice actor who voiced him in the series. As well as Linda Gary Who was Teela.
+Mrtrainfreak12 Indeed, think of the entire series looking like this. Another good animation they did was a pilot that never got aired, I can't remember the name of it though, it was something with knights.
It's way better, but I mean, it makes sense, they didn't have the budget to keep it this good throughout, when filmation had budget it showed, watch their flash gordon animated movie.
