Hey guy I am a in the battery industry I can always help you out with
questions battery related one thing I wanted to say about rewraps is like
Pegasus was saying Sony Samsung Panasonic are basically only people that
produce batteries. They make millions and the. They do a quality control
such as what your doing in your tests for instance Sony they say our 18650
batteries must meet a threshold of 2500mah continuous amp rate of 25 amps
and peak amp rate discharge of 40amps so they make tons of these batteries
then quality control tests and if say the test 3 batteries one is 2498mah
25 continuous amps peaks out at 39.7 peak amps they will say this is a
grade A battery the second battery tests at 2420mah 24.6 continuous amps
peak is 39.3 amps this goes in B grade te third battery is 2400mah 24.3
continuous and 38.9 peak amps this is grade c they do this with the
millions of batteries. So then you wind up with say 400k grade A 200k grade
b batteries and 100k of grade c batteries.
This is the main reason that I only purchased batteries from local shops where the batteries can be a trace back to the manufacturer or they are known and trusted obviously the only way to really track it down is to cut the casing often read the battery codes and or dates which I know you cannot do with batteries you see online or haven't purchased in the store at all goes back to people you know and trust I do tend to agree and the 26 650s are going to be the new trend they they have a much better battery life and they are now in the flashlight world as one of the better Batteries 18 650 technology has come along way but it's almost picked out 26 650 has a long way to go and if the manufacture see a push they for certain will adjust their manufacturing needs to suit the consumers desires
These tests are all great however I feel like you can get most of these specs directly from the manufacturer is that produce these batteries for instance in my line of work we have spec sheets of peak power continuous discharge etc. on almost every battery that we sell our market this is an industry standard of acceptable lying per se. Battery many factors are not the only ones who do this little scheme your car manufacturers also do the same when they say they have 300 hp under the hood they might only have 295 but who is going to count 5 hp no one same concept with Batteries most people are not going to care if the battery is at 36 AMp discharge or 40 and dischargeThe problem comes from when you have these other manufacturers such as MX JO producing batteries that are C grade but advertising them at the same specs that Sony would consider and A grade battery that they would wrap and sell under their name
And once needed to produce and sell these batteries these companies are just trying to make a fast buck off of Batteries that they can buy at a low price point and sell at a high profit this is pretty much the industry standard this is not only Sonny's operating practices but Panasonic and Sam son who are also very large battery manufacturers this trend will happen also and 26 650 batteries this is always been the case this is how car batteries are manufactured flashlight batteries hearing aid batteries almost every product that requires power for device is made by these three manufactures
Sony is only going to wrap and sell grade A batteries with their wrap and on it and market it and sell it themselves then other third parties such as MXJO EFest AWT calls them negotiates a price for say grade B batteries they say we need 50k 18650 what you got Sony says we have grade B which are mostly this spec and we will sell them to you for 4 dollars a battery well AWT says that's close specs we make our own wrap call it a 40 amp peak 2500 mah battery and sell it for 3 dollars less space than Sony... MXJO calls up wants 100k batteries Sony offers them B grade but price is too high so they go well we have C grade with these specs so mx is like ok we make our wrap sell them and make their own price this way Sony isn't on the hook for what they would consider inferior standards and their green wrapped batteries have a good rep. Other companies will never invest in the money to make their own batteries millions and millions go into devolving testing manufacturing and getting what's
Sorry to disagree with you (not really) Mike, but I purchased 2 purple
26650 Efest 3500mAh 32A/64A batteries yesterday and they both fit in my VF
Stout without any problems. Vaped on it today (.30 build @ 60 watts) for
about 6 hours before I had to swap batteries.
In response to you losing that marine as a follower... I am a veteran
myself and see no harm at all with the deployment jokes, I actually laughed
my ass off during the last Vape Team episode. Keep doing what you're doing,
you guys rock.
@Pegasus if you read this, Have you picked up on the battery thats pictured
with the stout on Vape Forwards site? Brillipower 80a 4500mah. Wouldmlove
if someone had a test on this! Id imagine if the specs where true itd be
the best 26650? But with vape batteries its hardly the case.. Would be
interesting!
+devilishmode I'm sure they are over rated, but I'm getting long life and full power down to 3.3 volts. I even have tried vaping them down to 2.9 despite the week battery warning (just to test them) and still got full power. Keep in mind that I am only vaping these at a conservative .35ohms @ 60 watts and that's 14.14 amps
+devilishmode I know you weren't asking me bro, but I have two stouts and the Brillipower ia a perfect fit and it discharges to 3.3 volts before week battery warning. I have tried a few 26650's and the Brillpower is the best (for me) so far, with the MXJO coming in second, it only discharges to 3.5 volts before getting a week battery warning. Oh and for the Stout, you need a battery length of 65mm.
The More We Explore Minimalism S01 E06 - A Chat With Guests Natasha and Luca, "That Vegan Couple"
For this episode we chat with Natasha and Luca, also known as "That Vegan Couple." What a treat it was to chat with them and learn from their wisdom.
Hi Steve and Tess! Thanks so much for this interview... we had a great time
meeting and chatting with you guys. We look forward to following your
journey too!
This interview has a lot of great points, and I particularly like the
comments about gratitude. Natasha and Luca are good people with good intent
and good hearts, and the world would be a much better place if more people
adopted similar attitudes towards life. However, sustaining a Vegan
lifestyle is a complicated matter based on principle, and it's impossible
to " not have animal blood on ones hands" without completely disconnecting
from society and living in complete isolation. Society is an intricate
system that is all tied together and to be in and connected to society
means one is reliant on it and supporting the societal system to one degree
or another. I tried to live a Vegan lifestyle by principle, briefly, and
found it impossible to do so as long as I remained a member of society. As
I began to read labels on things I bought and think about how the " Vegan"
products I was buying came into existence, I realized that every single
item produced by modern society is tied to the animal industry one way or
another, because modern society is dependent on animal products to sustain
itself. 100% true Vegan products do not exist, and cannot exist in a
society dependent on animal products. By principle, if one participates in
and is dependent on a societal system that depends on animal products, then
even though that person may not directly use or consume animal products,
until they completely segregate and isolate themselves from the societal
system, they are still supporting the use of animal products and their day
to day living is still made possible by the use of animal products because
they are dependent on a system that depends on them. I believe that animals
were put on Earth to sustain life for man and other animals. Animals will
die, and animals will be used, by man and each other, that is the cycle of
life. In my view, the answer is not Veganism, the answer is teaching and
promoting responsible and humane stewardship with animals, and using them
sparingly, in times of true need. I am a vegetarian, per say, and do not
eat meat day to day because I have no need to eat animals and I like them,
but if the time came where eating animals was required to sustain my life
and it became a need I would, not hesitate. This is the case for many
people in the world suffering from poverty and famine, who need to eat
animals to survive, but not for most people living in 1st world countries.
IMO, the answer to everything is teaching and promoting the responsible and
balanced use of Earths resources, according to needs and keeping our want's
in check. And be nice to animal's. Treat them with respect if you find
yourself in dire need to eat one.
+nateross14 you started out with some very valid points, that we don't live in a vegan society. I was simply going to comment that that is not the way it has to be, and the point of veganism is to help evolve human society to a point where we can all live harmoniously. that in fact the only way for that to ever happen is for the people who can to become vegan. but then I read that your BELIEF is that animals are here to serve humans, and I realized your whole argument is a pathetic excuse you're using to assuage your guilt and you're just trying to make yourself feel better about how you live, rather than doing proper research and making decision based on what the best thing to do is. that whole concept of "humane" animal products is a load of bs and will never be possible as a real solution. we would have to cover the earth in pasture for everyone to eat free range animals, which would mean we would ONLY be able to eat animals and nothing else, because there would be no land available for growing food we actually need. and that brings me to the most important point, that WE DON'T NEED TO EAT ANIMALS. you can feed 20 people on the grain that is fed to 1 cow, so how could it ever be responsible to eat animal products? we don't need them, they make people unhealthy and are literally taking the food out of the mouths of those starving people you mentioned.
+That Vegan Couple +That Vegan Couple I appreciate the comment. Everyone has different views and beliefs towards life and it's purpose/meaning. It's not my intent to criticize or belittle Vegans and their choices. I always welcome edifying discussion. I agree with many of your points and views, but not all. I have watched the many documentaries detailing the abuse and exploitation of animals, which is what was the catalyst for my initial interest in becoming Vegan. Part of the reason I turned away from Veganism, was because of my views and beliefs of why man, animals, and all other life exists on this planet, and their purpose. I hope you aren't offended by my beliefs, even though you may not hold the same. I do not believe in evolution, or that life is an accident. I believe that life is on purpose with design, and has a master creator/organizer, God, and that He created/organized Earth and everything in it with specific purpose. I believe man is the offspring of God, and He gave us the earth and all it's resources, as an inheritance, to be responsible stewards over, and animals were created for mans use and benefit. If I believed that animals existence was equal to man's, and in evolution, then I would agree with all Vegan beliefs, but I do not. I am a Christian, and believe that Earth is a temporary home for us and was not meant to last in it's current state forever, nor it's resources and life. It's my belief that animals were put here for mans responsible use to assist man in survival and life, but humankind has gone far beyond using animals according to God's intended use and has exploited them through much cruelty. I think the way the world is run today is not sustainable, and we will at some point in the near future see great tribulations and changes in 1st world countries, with widespread famine. I realize that many of my beliefs are not compatible with the Vegan way of life, and that they may not make any sense to those who do not believe the same as I do, but we don't have to agree or believe the same things. Even though I do not agree with some Vegan views, I respect them. For me the answer is to treat all life with respect and to be humane if the time comes that we find it necessary to take life.
+nateross14 we'd say you'd feel differently if it was your neck on the chopping block. The animals would say this isn't a complicated mater... it's a very simple matter - stop raping, torturing and killing us. But you're right, it is impossible to be 100% vegan... we twisted humans have managed to work out a way to commodify animals and put their body parts in almost every single thing! That's why the definition of veganism says "where practicable and possible". We humans tend to focus on the 2% that we can't control and forget about the 98% that we can control. The number 1 reason we kill animals is for food (150 billion a year). We can all control what we eat 3 times a day ... we can choose plants over meat, dairy and eggs. It is the easiest and most sustainable way to live... as we said in the interview, please watch the documentary Cowspiracy to learn and understand why this is. There are hundreds of thousands of vegans around the world living as integrated members of regular communities... there's nothing special or extraordinary about what we do... we simply choose to not be violent towards animals... the same way most people choose to not be violent towards women and children - very easy. Actually, people suffering from poverty and famine are in that situation because most of the world's grain is fed to animals to fatten them up before slaughter, instead of feeding that grain to humans. You may recall the Ethiopian famine in the 1980's.... whilst thousands of people starved to death, the Ethiopian government continued to sell its grain to Europe as feed for livestock. We currently grow enough food for 12 - 15 billion people... simply divert the resources from animal agriculture to feeding humans and the problems are solved. Interestingly, a healthy vegan diet is the same as what has been referred to as a "peasant diet" based around rice, potatoes, grains, beans and legumes... these are the cheapest and most accessible foods in the world... that's why it was called peasant food ;) So people all around the world can afford to eat this way. Finally, you're not in a survival situation... in fact none of us watching YouTube are in a dire situation and need to eat animals. So there's no need to think about hypothetical situations of when eating animals might be needed. Ironically, the time will soon come when our survival as a species will depend on us changing to a plant-based diet as animal "foods" are killing us and the planet in so many ways. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the interview.

Thank you +Mia Voss for doing this work and I genuinely enjoyed being part of this diverse and interesting panel discussion. And, to all of YOU who might have listened in, either live or who watched Mia's show over the weekend, thank you. I hope it was helpful to you and have a great week ahead! Leslie ||@tkpleslie
Thanks for the shoutout +Mia Voss ....very very interesting and DIVERSE show. Just watched the first show of Mia Connect, and observing how the format has evolved....inspiring!
Good point +James Dearsley & +Mia Voss about the semantics of what to call 'retirement developments' when they may actually be a chosen option for people who have 'retired' from work, but clearly not 'retired' from life !
Since the days of 3D Studio we have been toying around with 3D walk throughs with mixed results. It is time to push this outside of it's current status.
It is quite scary +Sean Mahon to be honest. Picking up a 3D Printed Virtual Reality Headset today courtesy of the guys from +Altergaze and +Liviu Berechet Antoni who we will be talking to soon. There are some very exciting possibilities in this area.
Thanks so much +Mia Voss for the shout out !! Missed the show on the day due to client commitments, so just watching replay now! Brilliant so far !! : )
Such a pleasure to be with you all live, +Mia Voss. Thank you for putting out such great quality content - and FUN too!! Always a blast and a learning sesh with +The Mia Connect and friends #MUAH

Here's that article from +B2C about Working Smart and not hard, and it
includes the 80/20 analogy about putting the big rocks down in that jar

Oooo, I will def be reading that article! Been using 'smart not hard' as my mantra - but it's not always easy to figure out what's 'smart' and what's just 'hard'. ; )
Will Toyota Get Off Easy?
In the past five years, Toyota has spent $25 million lobbying the U.S. government. Financial contributions were made to 40 of the 125 members charged with ...
Toyota - "Moving Forward" - Even when you let your foot off the gas pedal..
Toyota - "Moving Forward" - Even when you stomp on the brakes.. Toyota -
"Moving Forward" - Even when you shift into neutral & pull the E-brake.
Toyota - "Moving Forward" - Until it slams into the back of a semi-truck @
110 mph
I don't mind any big companies and their executives to get grilled in front
of the public because of their arrogance. But how come I never see Ford,
Chrysler, GM, Mercedes-Benz, and other automakers experience the same with
their own quality failures.
are you retarded? ford earned its own congressional hearings over the
exploders, even though ford did a recall without having been forced to by
the government.
