Tim, Tim, your don't belong in "no stinkin' Cirrus man - you need a WACO!! There are airplanes, and there are REAL airplanes! Airplanes with "round engines"; with lots of good smells, like: Grease; exhaust fumes; country side smells. They have REAL gauges on the panel - steam gauges!! None of that "city slicker Lectronik" stuff. Some of these gauges might even have liquid piped into 'em! Lots of switches, handles - good stuff. Just can't believe you went "city" on us. N-6395T

@luismarianomolina There is the blog from the Cirrus Owners and Pilots Accociation, who is very worried about the accident rate. It is currently the single engine piston aircraft with the highest fatal accident rate. Google COPA (you can google it if you spell it correctly); click on blogs, public information; search "accident" (again, you have to spell correctly); check out "Cirrus Accident Statistics" and "Trends in Fatal Accident Rates".

With aircrafts we dont need to feel like driving a Ferrari !! We need to feel that ...we are safe like driving an AUDI...or a BMW ...safety First and nothing more....!!! I am wondering when we will see a single engine piston with ( at least..) 12 Air-bags...!! And of course....diesel engines...!! Anyway....Kind Regards from Greece !!

As of Sept 30, 2008: Fatal accidents 41 fatal accidents 82 fatalities 10 survivors (all seriously injured) Taken from the Cirrus Owner's and Pilot's Association web site...has not been updated since 2008, though, so the most recent fatalities have not yet been taken into account.

diesel ,!!! not really ,, everyone that knows anything about the future of flying is with jet engines ,,, they now have a cruise capability for fuel consumption, and have far less moving parts
