It's more a case of being spanked by the Feds. Their plan (Albany) was to simply just call ammo purchases in to NICS and the FBI said no way were overworked and NICS is ONLY for gun purchases. Either way I'm glad it's not happening it would have been a nightmare. The only silver lining is that going after ammo affected and therefore united ALL gun owners, not just guys with black rifles.

I have already seen the new York compliant ar15 in a few gun shops in upstate new York. Its basically has a curved grip instead of the pistol grip and no muzzle break or flash hider and that makes it legal. its good to see a new York gun channel keeping us informed on things. thanks halfassed

That's a nice looking ar. Hope you never have to use those adapters. And glad to see you are also opting not to register! I put the adapters on mine early to help get the word out that registration isn't the only option.

January is the date when background checks are required for ammunition purchases. You have until April 15th to register, sell, turn in, or modify your rifle or handgun.
