i have the exact same problem on mine and its driving me crazy. So did it end up been the fan clutch mine starterd doing it after i change the fan clutch and water pump fucking autozone parts

My truck does the same thing. Ticking time bomb. Replaced clutch about two years ago. Guess it's time for a new one.. And same question, what type of clutch did u end up going with??

Hey Man I'm having the same issue with my 03 Envoy and I was wondering if u bought the Autozone, Advance Auto or the GM brand fan clutch?

I went through 3 after market fan clutches before finally putting in the ac delco original equipment. Fixed the issue.

Solved...it was a bad fan clutch.

Water pump Bearings, replace water pump.

Did you ever figure this noise out? It sounds similar to a noise mine makes when driving. I think it may be sway bar links

+Joe Flair It was coming from inside the transfer case. Bought a used transfer case at a local used parts shop for $200 with only 50k miles on it. Total install bill was about $380

Hey my grandmas had the same noise when It was warming up. It's the clutch fan.
