The was the worst Hotel I've ever stayed in, in my life. We made a big mistake staying here. The A/C never worked and when we asked to have it looked at the guy kicked it and it turned on for a few minutes then told us, if we didn't like it, leave, but the money we paid was theirs to keep. He also told us on the third day we had to leave, because people were complaining about the annoying Americans. Which we made sure to be extra quiet anytime we came in and out or were in our rooms.

Looks good! I am a private guide in Paris. The neighborhood between Bastille and Nation tends to be really nice and very conveniently located. We seldom eat out but find good quality ethnic restaurants around here we can afford. There are plenty of shops and services, tons of public transportation here. It's a shame to spend more than necessary to stay in Paris. I'd rather people have extra money to buy something wonderful or do something extraordinary! Paris CAN be done on a budget!
