Volkswagen Polo review - CarBuyer
Full review: //www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/volkswagen/polo/review The Volkswagen Polo boasts quality that's a cut above supermini rivals like the Vauxhall ...
Just because they are part of the same group doesn't mean they're made by
the same people, in the same factory or with the same parts and materials.
Lamborghini is part of the VW group, but the headquarters are in Bologna,
Italy. That makes it an Italian brand. Lancia is different than FIAT. For
one thing they use their own engines. Also, if Ferrari is the same as FIAT,
why hasn't FIAT built supercars? My argument still holds. Yours, not quite
so.
I dare say our Italian reputation of bad cars only extends to FIAT cars.
Alfa, Lancia, Maserati, Ferrari, Lamborghini. These are all brands
considered to be desireable and well built, and certainly will last you a
long time. There's no doubt. Needless to say, German cars do have their way
in terms of quality but by no means are superior to Italian brands (minus
Fiat, of course). I'd say proper cars here in Italy are a match to VW and
the likes.
I love this car, i had one as a rental in iceland but its so slow! maybe it
was limited as it was a rental car and the roads in iceland are bad. Does
anyone own a 1.2 60hp version... is it noticibly slow?
He says that the car isn't fun to drive around bends, but is he talking in
general or just for the entry level model? I thought the 77TSI would have
been pretty good for that
@DroverChicago Yeah mate. They are much better made up here. They tend to
be the benchmark over most brands in some segments. Think of it as an
affordable Audi.
