Happened to me when I bought my old a3 which was left outside for weeks last winter. Two different mechanics told me it was the head gasket, the guy that sold me the car said they were lying and it was just condensation. I honestly didn't know what to do because he refused to give me my money back. In the end I just kept it and instead the clutch went after 7 months so i got rid of it anyway!

+Yusuf Satwilkar yeah a little 'cream' on the oil filler cap can be condensation so its always worth checking the expansion tank and seeing what the coolant looks like. In this case its definitely mixed! thats a story and a half you have there lol this is the joys of buying old cars I'm afraid, saying that I've bene lucky and had many many great ones ;)

i have a MG ZR , love head gasket failures, fix it people might pay a little extra to know its been sorted just get the proof of the work thats been done!
