You must not understand. The Mazda killed it as it is much lighter and has more torque at the power to weight ratio thus giving it a faster acceleration. I'm sorry but the mustang had no real opportunity here.
+Big FING Box RIGHT! just about all the eco boosts the engines come off the same assembly line as the mazda 2.3l t it was originaly a mazda design they just fell short with the assembly thats where ford came in
Not 100%... But I think it has upgraded equal length manifold, race pipe and everything else stock. No tune. Unless they were doing a 80-90mph dig which doesn't seem to be the case. Now the question is what are the Mustangs mod?
A four cylinder with the same amount of power as a v8 is idiotic. Even if a
four cylinder is faster than a v6/v8, who cares. Look at the best cars in
the world; Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Buggati, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes,
etc. The majority of high end cars have bigger engines. Four cylinders are
made to be economical, you can make a Four cylinder car fast, but at the
end of the day, it is what it is just a little economical four.

yeps that's true, cause I actually beat my friends 2012 ms3 with e85 methanol Cobb accessport with stage 2 turbo with my 2014 dodge charger sxt plus and it only has aftermarket mopar air intake with resonator delete..so I don't know lols!! must be how the driver drives his car I guess
+Derwin Rodriguez That's not the point. It's easier and cheaper to buy and rebuild a little four banger to give it 600+ hp than it is to take your typical V-8 and get it to that same point.
