These greedy jews & fat-cats in the West who do this - its a disgrace.. We could have sustainable resources, live a more economic lifestyle but waste and greed rules. Why do these people need to be developed to western standards and have their own skycrapers in time and cars and tv's and mobile phones and all the stuff we have? Aren't they happy as they are? Are we happier in the western so called developed world? Let these people alone and the paradise where they live! We are changing the climate drastically by deforestation and we are polluting the whole world with our technology and civilisation. Look at what is happening in Brazil and other parts in the world where there are natural disasters caused by human interference in the environment. We had better stayed primitive cause when we continue like this it is self destruction.

How is deforestation pointless ? We all need paper and wood to make buildings and many other things, this video is not at all true there may be millions of tress cut down BUT we plant many and many of trees each day which only take a couple of years to get to there full size and potential. The government really wouldn't allow deforestation if it was a massive risk. The government aren't all evil you know.... Your all a bunch of idiots

@OStark It's very ignorant to think people would be better off this way. Yes PNG people smile when they see foreigners and are generally happy people, but that doesn't take away their complex social life, sadness and hardships that they face, including sickness and death as a result of lack of basic health care. Education and sustainable development should be a choice they can have. Don't confuse this with materialism.

Actually PNG is still largely unknown. I've researched the island and read articles that stated there are about 40 uncontacted tribes here as well as many unexplored valleys and jungles sort of like Amazonia and Alaska, which is also largely wilderness. As late as the 1930's the Dani tribe, which consisted of 5,000 people made first contact with the outside world
