Joanne~ I lived in Taichung for 4 years and this brings back so many memories. I will be visiting this summer and i'm so excited! He is so kind to let you film and interview him but I am not surprised. I found many Taiwanese people to be so open and friendly. I miss it and what I would'nt give for some 蘿蔔糕 !!!

+Dale Calder I think the Sweet potatoes in the UK, probably from Spain, are neither yellow or red but kind of light orange

+Dale Calder I'm not sure where you're located, but in the United States you can get Japanese white sweet potatoes, which have a similar flavor and texture. (I've seen them in both California and Texas, so I assume they are fairly widespread by now.)
