PGA TOUR players hit vintage clubs at Northern Trust Open
As part of the 90th year anniversary of the Northern Trust Open, Rory McIlroy, Kevin Na, Charley Hoffman, and Anirban Lahiri hit a variety of vintage clubs from ...
They don't need to hit the ball further. Just put the tee back where it was
for decades, and use those clubs. It's not necessary to have such long
courses. I can tell you golf was very amazing for decades with wood.
+stevemcgee99 unfortunately theres this crazy market out there and people dont want to keep buying a 1985 honda civic over and over every year, so they come out with something new thats "faster" "bigger" "more comfortable". There wouldnt be an golf companies left if you told them they couldnt make clubs that hit it farther.
I agree with ChristopherMTLvideos that there should be a PGA event where
every pro would have to swing vintage 1960's, early 1970's woods made of
persimmon and the irons that went with them. I've been playing with modern
metal woods and the newest irons with larger sweet spots and last summer
tried some used 1960's or 70's Wilson Pro staffs with the name Sam Snead on
them, beautiful laminated woods and matching forged irons. I hit the new
equipment about 20 yards further and much more solid. Granted, I'm a
higher average golfer than the Pros who can hit the sweet the size of a
nickel, even on the old blade forged model irons, but I couldn't gage
distance at all and I couldn't hit the greens on island shots. I was always
shot. I just wasn't hitting the shots solid. The irons made a funny
ringing sound and the woods seemed dead off the face. I prefer the modern
clubs. I used to think it wouldn't make much of a difference maybe 5-10
yards, but it seemed to make an extreme amount of difference to me. I
still hit them dead straight most the time, but the distance, feel, ringing
sound and lots of vibration did me in. I didn't enjoy or like playing with
the old club set. Even though the woods were clear finish, beautiful
laminated wood, beautiful to look at, I put them in storage just days after
buying them on E-Bay.
+Christian Cunningham Wood bat - that's basically what happens when the rules committee of a game care more about the game than manufacturer's margins.
+Richard Hagee Hi Richard, just curious if you have any relation to the San Antonio pastor John Hagee? I would assume no, but thought I would ask anyway. Thanks.
+Adventurous Mack This should happen in tennis as well with the small wooden racquets. Take the power serve out as a big factor and determine the best pure ballstriker.
I'd hope they would listen to the fans with this suggestion.
Vlog: Uggs at Burlington Coat Factory!
Sorry, turn up the volume. Uggs are at Burlington Coat Factory. I can't believe it. For half the price you can get select styles. Every once and awhile I have seen ...
+myisha franklin Burlington Coat Factory, Marshalls, TJMaxx, and Ross usually receive the items that major department stores or fashion houses could not sell fast enough. They get a tax write off that way. For us the buyer our benefit is a huge discounted. So don't worry your not buying a defected item:) I've even seen a Gucci handbag at TJMAxx. I should of bought it.....
