Harmonica player "Big Al" Robinson invited me to catch the band Loose Shoes at a gig in Roswell, where I recorded the show and am currently working on ...
These are GREAT! Love this list so much! Your renditon of "I'll be there
for you" was out of this world awesome! I LOVED IT SO MUCH! Especially the
fake drumming! The whole list was incredible though. I think this is one of
your best countdown's ever. Can't wait for next week's celebration. I
wonder who the special guest will be... ;)
Oh Pocahontas was my favorite Disney movie as a kid - it was just the right
timing when it came out and it meant so much to me! Oh and I love the
friends theme - I have it on my Ipod that I recently reactivated after
years - it still has a playlist from like 2006 - so funny to skip through
that...
Today would have been my little sister's 18th Birthday (she died in 2007)
so this timing is incredible and after crying for the first minute or so of
this video, it managed to cheer me up. Today has been a hard day for me so
thank you for making it a little bit better.
If they made TRL in like 1994 or 1995, I think Hootie was going to do well
on that show. I guarantee it. Their videos for "Hold My Hand, Let Her Cry"
and "Time" would've made it no. 1. And "Only Wanna Be With You" would've
made it no. 2, actually.
I hardly new any of these ones. I think I knew about 3 or 4 of them.
Awesome videos! :) I actually did start singing High School Musical and
when you said you wanted to I started laughing because I was halfway
through the chorus of All For One. :)
If you didn't do the claps on number 3, you don't have a heart. And I kinda
snapped along with 5...and heard Total Eclipse Of The Heart (Bonnie Tyler's
version) on the radio the other day. Pretty rockin for a 80s pop song.
I went into this thinking that I wouldn't know any of these this week as I
was Ten. Turns out I knew quite a bit of these there were only two that I
didn't know being: Roll To Me/Del Amitri and Water Runs Dry/Boyz II Men
i was 4 and I sang the number one song wrong. my parents still laugh at me
because of it. i sang "don't go JASON Waterfalls" I guess i though they
were singing to a guy named Jason or something.
Well, actually Total Eclipse was at the end of its chart run at this point
in 1995, if I would have had this countdown let's say in April, then it
probably would have been higher!
And "Kiss from a Rose" is just an amazing song. It's going to be on the
brand new movie "Vacation". So, this song IS still around today. This is
pretty impressive.
And TLC, man! Those girls looked so fine back then! And RIP, Left Eye. TLC
is one of the best girl groups of all time. Along with the one and only
Spice Girls.
I find it ironic that I paused watching Friends to watch this & then the
theme song was on the list. So many fantastic songs!
